Chapter 1
Layers of the Onion, Ripples in the Pond
Layers of the onion and ripples in the pond have everything to do with advancing our understanding of the end of the world. How does the Bible, both Old Testament and New Testament fit with Revelation and all of the different factors and pieces of the Tribulation. We need to start with the Layers of the onion and Ripples in the Pond.
Take an onion and peel off a layer. There is another layer underneath, and another and another. You can peel each layer off until there are no layers left on the outer part of the onion. Once you have peeled off all the layers, you come to the bulb of the onion itself. The layers of that onion are our understanding of the things in the Bible that give us information to come to the Truth of Jesus Christ.
Once you get through all of the layers of the onion and there are no more layers left, you come to the bulb. The bulb of the onion can be looked at as the Tribulation. This is the event that all of the layers have been leading up to. There is a paradigm shift that occurs at this stage. (See chapter 2 “Paradigm Shift: New Thing, New Song, New Wine, New Cloth”)
Ripples in the pond, follows the same concept of the layers of the onion. Ripples are caused by an object or a rock being thrown into the water and creating the ripples that emanate from the original entry point. The ripples that are at their closest point are larger and at their furthest point they get smaller until there are none. Those ripples are like the layers of the onion.
We are at the point of impact, the splash, the ker-plunk of that object that creates the ripples.
The bulb of the onion and the splash create the layers and the ripples. We have now worked towards the bulb and the splash and are now here.
The Paradigm Shift that has occurred is the shifting over from applying the scriptures and prophecies and lining them up with physical events or happenings around the world to applying the spiritual understanding using the Metaphorical Language and Spiritual Overlay and applying it to the physical events happening right now.
The Third Day Studies that were done back in the early 2,000’s were just scratching the surface of this shift. When the Threshing Floor shows started up again in 2021, this shift picked up speed and began to form. In 2022 and especially 2023 it is absolute that this has occurred. We now have a much fuller understanding of what is happening right now and what is in our direct future. It is uncanny how what we are understanding is happening in real time. We see it every day if not every hour. But, it is not uncanny, it is the Lord. The Lord is leading and we, the 144,000 follow the Lamb of God whithersoever He goeth. This is where He is leading and this is where we are going.
