His Secret
Chapter 18
The Dreadful and the Terrible
After this I saw in the night visions, and behold a fourth beast, dreadful and terrible, and strong exceedingly; and it had great iron teeth: it devoured and brake in pieces, and stamped the residue with the feet of it: and it was diverse from all the beasts that were before it; and it had ten horns. – Daniel 7:7
This is the 4th beast. There are many clues concerning this beast which we shall examine. What we are looking for is to see if this fourth beast parallels the 4th horseman of the 4th seal. According to the previous 3 beasts, this has formed a pattern and for this pattern to be completed, this 4th beast would have to be a combination of the Serpents and the Scorpions based upon the Pale Horse union.
There are also additional clues surrounding this beast that gives us more information about this construct of the Serpents and the Scorpions. Let’s look at the first clues about this beast. The description of “dreadful and terrible” is what we will examine first.
The word dreadful means; to slink, i.e. (by implication) to fear, or (causatively) be formidable:--make afraid, dreadful, fear, terrible. [1] The under-definition means; to crawl; by implication, to fear:--be afraid, serpent, worm. [2]
We didn’t have to go far to find out that the word dreadful is linked to the Serpents. Also the definition of slink is defined as; to creep or crawl along. [3] Serpents and vipers creep upon their bellies, just as the serpent was cursed to do in Genesis.
And the LORD God said unto the serpent, Because thou hast done this, thou art cursed above all cattle, and above every beast of the field; upon thy belly shalt thou go, and dust shalt thou eat all the days of thy life: - Genesis 3:14
Since we know that the Serpents are the sons of their father the devil as Jesus stated to the Pharisees, Scribes, and Sadducees, they also follow their father in their movements, creeping along the ground as a serpent. They are also in this definition a worm. We have previously looked at the definition of the worm in the verse in Isaiah 51:8.
That definition for the word worm had within its definition, moth. This definition for the word dreadful identifies the Serpents but also has within the definition, worm. This can be confusing so we have to look at the context of the verse or the definition. Although the moth and worm are exclusive to the Serpents and the Scorpions, under those identifications within the definitions we find where they cross over to the opposite identification.
This goes into another layer that we can see where they are of the same family, they are both sons of the devil and this crosses over to show their unity with one another. You will be able to see this throughout the scriptures. Most importantly, use the context of the verse or definition to prove the identification.
Let’s now look at the word terrible. The word terrible is defined as; well-loined (i.e. burly) or mighty: --terrible. [4]
The definitions that we are going to explore are the words mighty and terrible.
In the book of Daniel, the words “dreadful and terrible” are in the Archaic language and are only used once in the entire book of Daniel in the verse previously quoted. Therefore, we need to look at the clues within that definition and follow the identifying words into the Hebrew language.
Care must be taken, for these words “dreadful and terrible” actually cross over each other and you will find verses with these words within them that will describe both the Serpents and the Scorpions. When this happens, one must look at the context of the verse to determine the group that is being referred to. I have pulled out a few verses that do just that. Let’s take a look at a few verses that contain these definitions.
Shall the prey be taken from the mighty, or the lawful captive delivered? - Isaiah 49:24
In this verse, we can see that the mighty has the prey, the prey being the Multitude. The verse then continues and speaks about the lawful captive. The word lawful means; just:--just, lawful, righteous (man). [5] The righteous man is the Multitude who are prisoners taken unjustly.
How is the Multitude righteous since they have committed adultery and gone away from the Lord? They are righteous for they come back to the Lord through this process that they have been chosen to go through. They are the ones that are spoken about in 1 Peter.
And if the righteous scarcely be saved, where shall the ungodly and the sinner appear? - 1Peter 4:18
This verse follows a verse that is speaking about judgement upon the church.
For the time is come that judgment must begin at the house of God: and if it first begin at us, what shall the end be of them that obey not the gospel of God? - 1 Peter 4:17
Notice that there are three groups or categories that are spoken about in 1 Peter 4:18; the righteous, the ungodly, and the sinner. These are the three groups that are divided when Babylon is divided into three parts; the righteous is the Multitude, the ungodly are the Serpents, and the sinners are the Scorpions. This is rightly dividing the Word of Truth into the proper separated groups.
The lawful (Righteous) captives are the prey in the hands of the mighty or in the hands of the Scorpions for they are the ones that seek out and bring into captivity the Multitude. This next verse in Isaiah expands the previous verse that was asking a question. This verse gives the answer to the question.
But thus saith the LORD, Even the captives of the mighty shall be taken away, and the prey of the terrible shall be delivered: for I will contend with him that contendeth with thee, and I will save thy children. - Isaiah 49:25
“The captives (Multitude) of the mighty (Scorpions) shall be taken away.” The Multitude are the ones that are taken, they are taken to where the eagles (Serpents) are which were gathered by the Scorpions. [6]
We are going to take a look at the definition for the word mighty and follow the definitions to their conclusion for it will produce another algorithm that will conclusively connect this definition to the Scorpions.
The definition for the word mighty is; powerful; by implication, warrior, tyrant:-- mighty (man, one), strong (man), valiant man. [7]
This definition shows us that the people that are being spoken about are warriors, tyrants, mighty men, strong men, and valiant men. The next under-definition means pretty much the same; properly, a valiant man or warrior; generally, a person simply:--every one, man, X mighty. [8]
It is in the next definition that we find the thread. It means; to be strong; by implication, to prevail, act insolently:--exceed, confirm, be great, be mighty, prevail, put to more (strength), strengthen, be stronger, be valiant. [9]
These warriors or tyrants will prevail. Another word that can be used interchangeably with the word prevail is the word overcome.
But when a stronger than he shall come upon him, and overcome him, he taketh from him all his armour wherein he trusted, and divideth his spoils. - Luke 11:22
This verse certainly fits the premise of what we are studying. A stronger man overcomes one, takes all of his armor which in this case would be his possession that he trusted in and divides the spoils. The ones that do the spoiling are the Scorpions. Let’s look at some of these definitions and see if they connect with the previous definitions.
The definition for the word stronger means; forcible (literally or figuratively):--boisterous, mighty(-ier), powerful, strong(-er, man), valiant. [10]
This definition parallels the other definition that we looked at for the word mighty in Isaiah 49:25. The definition for the word overcome is; to subdue (literally or figuratively):--conquer, overcome, prevail, get the victory. [11]
Here is another verse that speaks about a strong man.
Or else how can one enter into a strong man's house, and spoil his goods, except he first bind the strong man? and then he will spoil his house.
- Matthew 12:29
There are two strong men in this verse. Do you see the other strong man? He is the one that enters into the strong man’s house. The one that enters into the house is stronger than the one that is in the house for he binds him and then spoils his goods.
The strong man that enters in is the Scorpions. The house that they enter belongs to the Multitude. The Scorpions enter the Multitude’s house, binds him by bringing them into captivity and then takes all of his possessions and divides them.
Let’s go back to that last definition for the word mighty and follow one of the threads to its conclusion. The last definition had a phrase in the definition that stated act insolently.
These following definitions are from Webster’s New World Dictionay. The definition for the word insolently means; disrespectful of custom or established authority; impertinent, impudent. This definitions lists two other words that are synonyms with the word insolent.
The word impudent means;1. originally, immodest; shameless. 2. Shamelessly bold; saucy, insolent. – Synonym see impertinent.
This definition is describing someone that has no shame while the definition for the word insolent tells us that they are disrespectful of customs or established authority. Both definitions refer us to the word impertinent. This is where we find the positive connection to the Scorpions.
The word impertinent means; not showing proper respect or manners; saucy; insolent; impudent. The definition then gives examples of these words.
Impertinent implies a forwardness of speech or action that is disrespectful and oversteps the bounds of propriety or courtesy;
Impudent implies a shameless or brazen impertinence;
Insolent implies defiant disrespect as displayed in openly insulting and contemptuous speech or behavior;
Saucy implies a flippancy and provocative levity toward one to whom respect should be shown.
All of these definitions fit perfectly with the Scorpions that mock and scorn the Multitude. They provide false testimony against the Multitude to reach their own lofty goals. They ridicule them and betray them. We have many examples of this in the Judas cycle.
When Jesus was going through His arranged trial, He was mocked. When He was hanging on the cross, there were those that railed on Him and mocked Him. In these verses we have the clues that will give us insight into something that has long been questioned. What is blasphemy of the Holy Ghost and who commits blasphemy of the Holy Ghost?
And the men that held Jesus mocked him, and smote him. [64] And when they had blindfolded him, they struck him on the face, and asked him, saying, Prophesy, who is it that smote thee? [65] And many other things blasphemously spake they against him. – Luke 22:63-65
The men that held Jesus would be the Scorpions. The Scorpions are the ones that bind or bring into captivity. When they held Jesus, he was under arrest and being held by His captors. The definition for the word held is; arrest (a prisoner); figuratively, to compel, perplex, afflict, constrain, hold, be taken with. [12]
Jesus Christ was arrested and held by His captors who ridiculed Him and mocked Him. Notice that one of the definitions is “be taken with.” This corresponds to the verse speaking about “one shall be taken, and the other left.”[13] The one that is taken is the Multitude that is taken in judgement. The other that is left is the 144,000 that the Lord leaves to feed the Multitude.
Verse 65 then tells us that there were many other things that they blasphemously spoke against Jesus. This links us to the word blasphemy. The word blasphemously means; to vilify; specially, to speak impiously:--(speak) blaspheme(-er, -mously, -my), defame, rail on, revile, speak evil. [14]
The word impiously means; a) lacking reverence for God. b) disrespectful toward persons or things to which one should be devoted. [15] This definition lines up with the previous definitions given for the word impertinent.
And they that passed by railed on him, wagging their heads, and saying, Ah, thou that destroyest the temple, and buildest it in three days, [30] Save thyself, and come down from the cross. [31] Likewise also the chief priests mocking said among themselves with the scribes, He saved others; himself he cannot save. - Mark 15:29-31
The word railed used in this verse is the same word used for blasphemy.
The word mocking in this passage means; to jeer at, i.e. deride:--mock. [16]
When we look at the word mock in the dictionary we find this definition; to hold up to scorn or contempt; ridicule. [17]
The definition for the word contempt means; 1.The feeling or actions of a person toward something he considers low, worthless, or beneath notice; scorn. 3. In law, the punishable act of showing disrespect for the authority or dignity of a court (or legislature), as by disobedience, unruliness, etc. [18]
Now we are getting closer to the definitions that we found for the word impertinent and insolent which came from the Strong’s definition of the word mighty which was connected to the word dreadful; the second component of the 4th beast.
Mocking is the disrespect of authority when it pertains to law. This is the disrespect of the Scorpions and the Serpents to God’s law.
Look at the strong man (Multitude) that is overtaken by one that is stronger than he, this also is a strong man; the Scorpions. We find a common element within these passages that speak about this overtaking of the Multitude by the Scorpions. This is a verification of what “blasphemy of the Holy Ghost” is and who is guilty of committing “blasphemy of the Holy Ghost.”
There are three passages that speak about the strong man (Multitude) being overtaken. Each one of these passages have common elements. These common elements can be found in Matthew 12:22-36, Mark 3:22-30, and Luke 11:14-26.
And the scribes which came down from Jerusalem said, He hath Beelzebub, and by the prince of the devils casteth he out devils. [23] And he called them unto him, and said unto them in parables, How can Satan cast out Satan? [24] And if a kingdom be divided against itself, that kingdom cannot stand. [25] And if a house be divided against itself, that house cannot stand. [26] And if Satan rise up against himself, and be divided, he cannot stand, but hath an end.
[27] No man can enter into a strong man's house, and spoil his goods, except he will first bind the strong man; and then he will spoil his house. [28] Verily I say unto you, All sins shall be forgiven unto the sons of men, and blasphemies wherewith soever they shall blaspheme: [29] But he that shall blaspheme against the Holy Ghost hath never forgiveness, but is in danger of eternal damnation: [30] Because they said, He hath an unclean spirit. – Mark 3:22-30
In each of those passages the common elements describe the Pharisees (Serpents) accusing Jesus of casting out Satan by the power of Satan. Jesus states to them in parables that this is not so; for a kingdom cannot divide against itself for it will fall. He then describes the acts that the Scorpions take by entering into the strong man’s house (Multitude) and spoiling his goods. Then the blasphemy of the Holy Ghost is stated by Jesus as being one that states that a person (Jesus) that is doing the work of God has an unclean spirit and is of the devil.
Simply put, a person that accuses another that has the spirit of God within them as having the spirit of the devil within them, and that they are doing the works of the devil when in actuality they are doing the works of God; they are attributing the works of God to the devil. They have committed Blasphemy of the Holy Ghost.
Both the Serpents and the Scorpions mocked Jesus Christ. Both of them committed Blasphemy of the Holy Ghost for Jesus was doing the works of God and they were saying that Jesus had the spirit of the devil within Him.
This is exactly what the Serpents and the Scorpions do to the Multitude. They accuse the Multitude who has the spirit of God within them and are doing the works of the Lord, as doing the works of the devil and of having the spirit of the devil within them. This is what sends the Scorpions and the Serpents to hell. They commit the unforgivable sin of Blasphemy of the Holy Ghost.
The proof of this occurs when they take the kingdom of God and divide it. Babylon is divided into three parts consisting of the Scorpions, the Serpents, and the Multitude. The Scorpions and the Serpents come together in unity against the other third, the Multitude. They then proceed with the destruction of the Multitude by accusing them of blasphemy, following the path of the Judas cycle in which the Scorpions and Serpents of that day accused Jesus Christ of blasphemy.
Then the high priest rent his clothes, saying, He hath spoken blasphemy; what further need have we of witnesses? behold, now ye have heard his blasphemy. - Matthew 26:65
Let’s take a look at the word blasphemy. It means; vilification (especially against God):--blasphemy, evil speaking, railing. [19] The under-definition is; scurrilious, i.e. calumnious (against men), or (specially) impious (against God):--blasphemer(-mous), railing. [20]
We had previously looked at the word blasphemously which comes from the word blasphemy that we are looking at now. These definitions will give us more clues.
The definition for the word scurrilious is; 1. Coarse; vulgar; foul mouthed; using indecent or abusive language. 2. containing coarse vulgarisms or indecent abuse. [21]
The definition for the word calumnious means; full of tricks, swindling, full of calumnies; slanderous. The definition for the word calumnies means; trickery, slander, to deceive. 1. A false or malicious statement meant to hurt someone’s reputation. [22]
Within the definition for calumnious, we can find the false witnesses that were brought against Jesus by the Serpents. The false witnesses would be your Scorpions. They lie to fill their belly. The Serpents used these false witnesses to condemn Jesus of blasphemy.
Now the chief priests, and elders, and all the council, sought false witness against Jesus, to put him to death; [60] But found none: yea, though many false witnesses came, yet found they none. At the last came two false witnesses, - Matthew 26:59, 60
The word impious found within the under-definition for the word blasphemy means; a) lacking reverence for God. b) disrespectful toward persons or things to which one should be devoted. [23]
Blasphemy of the Holy Ghost includes false testimony against an innocent person. It also includes mocking them, and being disrespectful towards them by accusing them of doing the works of the devil when they are actually doing the work of God. This is the process by which the Multitude is convicted of false crimes and this is also the process by which the Scorpions and the Serpents will set their final judgements upon themselves by participating in these acts.
The irony of all of this is that both the Scorpions and the Serpents believe that they are doing God’s will; just as the Pharisees and the persons bearing false witness thought they were doing God’s will. How wrong they were, and how wrong will be the 2/3 of our modern day churches.
There is one more under-definition to look at for the word blasphemy that will complete this thread. The next under-definition is; properly, to hinder, i.e. (by implication) to injure:--hurt. [24]
Both the Scorpions and the Serpents hurt the Multitude. The Scorpions are the creatures of the 5th trumpet and the Serpents are the creatures of the 6th trumpet. [25]
And they had tails like unto Scorpions, and there were stings in their tails: and their power was to hurt men five months. – Revelation 8:10
For their power is in their mouth, and in their tails: for their tails were like unto Serpents, and had heads, and with them they do hurt. – Revelation 9:19
Both the Scorpions and the Serpents are guilty of Blasphemy of the Holy Ghost. They mock, ridicule, bear false testimony and are either complicit in the murdering of the Multitude or are the murderers of the Multitude. They both attribute the works of God to Satan by accusing the Multitude of blasphemy.
When the Multitude bears the testimony of Jesus Christ and speaks the Truth, the Scorpions and the Serpents accuse the Multitude of having an unclean spirit of Satan. This follows the pattern set forth by the events surrounding the mock trial of Jesus Christ. The Multitude, Scorpions, and Serpents, will follow the same footsteps as Jesus, the Judas’s, and the Pharisees. History does repeat itself.
Having explored that thread, let’s go back to the word mighty and look at a few more verses to show that the thread follows another direction, albeit the same path.
They shall run like mighty men; they shall climb the wall like men of war; and they shall march every one on his ways, and they shall not break their ranks: - Joel 2:7
This is describing the Scorpions that are mighty men. Remember that we were looking at the verse from Isaiah 49:25 speaking about “the captives of the mighty.” The captives are the Multitude whereas the mighty are the captors; the Scorpions.
We can find the identification of who these mighty men are in verse 9.
They shall run to and fro in the city; they shall run upon the wall, they shall climb up upon the houses; they shall enter in at the windows like a thief. – Joel 2:9
The ones that run to and fro are the Scorpions. They enter the windows like a thief. The thieves are the Scorpions that enter into the house of the strong man (Multitude) by climbing in at the windows, binds him, and then spoils his goods. They enter into the strong man’s house via the window for they are not invited to come through the door. A thief is uninvited and thereby sneaks in through the windows.
Let’s take a look at some verses that have the word terrible within them. This is following the description of one of the 4th beast’s attributes. He is dreadful and terrible.
The burden of the desert of the sea. As whirlwinds in the south pass through; so it cometh from the desert, from a terrible land. - Isaiah 21:1
This verse is speaking about a burden. The burden is the unrighteous burden of Satan that they carry upon themselves. The burden of the Lord is light whereas the burden of their king, Abaddon and Apollyon [26] is heavy and they carry this burden all the way to hell. Remember the second rider of the 4th horseman and Hell followed with him?
This burden is of the desert of the sea. It has been previously established that the Scorpions are of the desert, [27] a hot dry land with no water. (Living water) They are of the sea for these beasts rise up out of the sea, the sea being Babylon. The Scorpions are the whirlwind of the south, for the Scorpions are from the south. It comes from the desert where the Scorpions live and this place where the Scorpions resides is a terrible land.
And I will deliver thee out of the hand of the wicked, and I will redeem thee out of the hand of the terrible. - Jeremiah 15:21
This verse coincides with Isaiah 49:25 “But thus saith the LORD, Even the captives of the mighty shall be taken away, and the prey of the terrible shall be delivered:”
The wicked that is spoken about in Jeremiah 15:21 are the Serpents. The terrible are the Scorpions which corresponds with Jeremiah 15:21 which states that the Lord will redeem the Multitude out of their hands. The Multitude is the prey in the hand of the Scorpions. They are also the prey of the Serpents in the hand of the wicked.
This 4th beast is a combination of the Serpents and the Scorpions and corresponds with the 4th horseman of Revelation. This is the composite beast that contains the bear (Serpents) and the leopard (Scorpions) within it, just as the 4th horsemen of Revelation are a composite of the Red Horse (2nd horse) and the Black Horse. (3rd horse) This is an established pattern.
Having the proper identification of this 4th beast, we can now proceed with the rest of this verse that gives us more clues of this composite beast of the Serpents and the Scorpions.
This phrase, strong exceedingly tells us that this beast is stronger than all others that are before it. This beast ranks as the strongest.
The word strong means; mighty, strong. [28] The under-definition means; powerful:--mightier. [29]The last under-definition means a primitive root; to overpower:--prevail (against).[30]
This fourth beast is the strongest and mightiest all of all the beasts. He overpowers and prevails against everything that is before it. We have looked at this next verse before and it fits this premise perfectly.
But when a stronger than he shall come upon him, and overcome him, he taketh from him all his armour wherein he trusted, and divideth his spoils. - Luke 11:22
The word overcome in this verse means; to subdue (literally or figuratively):--conquer, overcome, prevail, get the victory. [31]
This verse is of course speaking about the Scorpions who enter the Multitude’s house, binds him and spoils his goods. Where do the Scorpions receive their power that they have to do this? They receive their power from the Serpents, and in particular, the False Prophet who runs the whole show. This will be explored a bit later.
This fourth beast that is strong exceedingly has great iron teeth. The teeth of iron would be referring to the Scorpions. The brass is associated with the Serpents. The 5th trumpet is a description of the Scorpions which have the teeth of lions and breastplates of iron.
And they had hair as the hair of women, and their teeth were as the teeth of lions. – Revelation 9:8
And they had breastplates, as it were breastplates of iron; and the sound of their wings was as the sound of chariots of many horses running to battle. - Revelation 9:9
The first beast of Daniel is a lion which has been shown to be the Multitude. Prior to this lion being recognized as the Multitude, we found that the Scorpions and the Serpents were present within this lion as the “eagle’s wings” that were plucked. All three of these groups are lions; the Serpents, the Scorpions, and the Multitude. The lion is a ferocious beast that hunts and kills its prey. We can find this in the following verse.
There is a conspiracy of her prophets in the midst thereof, like a roaring lion ravening the prey; they have devoured souls; they have taken the treasure and precious things; they have made her many widows in the midst thereof. - Ezekiel 22:25
This verse is speaking about the prophets (Preachers) that are in the midst of Israel (The church) and are as lions ravening their prey. They devoured souls and have taken the treasures and precious things. Who is the one that takes treasures? The Scorpions that bind the Strong Man and divides the spoil. Here is another verse.
Thus saith the LORD; As the shepherd taketh out of the mouth of the lion two legs, or a piece of an ear; so shall the children of Israel be taken out that dwell in Samaria in the corner of a bed, and in Damascus in a couch. - Amos 3:12
The shepherd in this verse would be referring to the Chief Shepherd, Jesus Christ. He takes out what is left of the prey and refers to the prey as the “children of Israel.” These “children of Israel” dwell in Samaria and Damascus. Samaria and Damascus are spiritual identifications of the church. Damascus and Samaria are destined for destruction.
This composite beast devours the Multitude. They break the Multitude into pieces.
And shalt say unto them, Thus saith the LORD of hosts; Even so will I break this people and this city, as one breaketh a potter's vessel, that cannot be made whole again: and they shall bury them in Tophet, till there be no place to bury. - Jeremiah 19:11
How is the Lord going to break this people (Multitude) and this city? (Jerusalem) We just need to back up a few verses.
And I will make void the counsel of Judah and Jerusalem in this place; and I will cause them to fall by the sword before their enemies, and by the hands of them that seek their lives: and their carcases will I give to be meat for the fowls of the heaven, and for the beasts of the earth. – Jeremiah 19:7
The Multitude will fall by the sword by the ones that seek their lives. The Multitude will be given to be meat for the fowls of the heaven (Scorpions) and the beasts of the earth. (Serpents) The Multitude will be devoured, broken in pieces, and stamped down as residue under the feet of the beast.
The Multitude is stated to be the residue under the feet of this beast. The word residue has an interesting under-definition. Residue means; a remainder:, remnant, residue, rest. [32] The residue (Multitude) are the remainder of the kingdom of heaven after the Serpents and the Scorpions are plucked out of it. They are the “Remnant of Israel” that is stamped under the feet of this beast.
This beast is diverse from all of the beasts before it. Recapping the previous beasts, we started with the lion. The lion was composed of the Scorpions, the Serpents (Eagle’s wings that were plucked) and the Multitude that was left after the removal of the eagle’s wings. The bear represented the Serpents and the leopard represented the Scorpions. This final beast is a combination of the Serpents and the Scorpions. This beast is definitely diverse from the beasts that were before it.
We now come to another identifying factor of this beast. This beast has 10 horns. This next verse will give us additional clues.
I considered the horns, and, behold, there came up among them another little horn, before whom there were three of the first horns plucked up by the roots: and, behold, in this horn were eyes like the eyes of man, and a mouth speaking great things. – Daniel 7:8
This beast with the 10 horns has another horn that comes up among them. By this little horn, there are three of the first horns that were plucked up. The description of this little horn with the eyes of a man and a mouth speaking great things is speaking about a man. There is another clue about this little horn that can be added.
Then I would know the truth of the fourth beast, which was diverse from all the others, exceeding dreadful, whose teeth were of iron, and his nails of brass; which devoured, brake in pieces, and stamped the residue with his feet; [20] And of the ten horns that were in his head, and of the other which came up, and before whom three fell; even of that horn that had eyes, and a mouth that spake very great things, whose look was more stout than his fellows. - Daniel 7:19, 20
What is meant by his “look was more stout than his fellows?” This seems to be contradictory. A “little horn” that is “more stout than his fellows” Let’s take a look at some definitions to determine these things.
The under-definition for the word horn means; figuratively; power. [33] These 10 horns and the little horn are powers. The definition for the word little means; little. [34] The under-definition means; to dwindle; small:--little. [35] The next under-definition means; to be small, i.e. (figuratively) ignoble:--be brought low, little one, be small. [36]
The “little horn” is not describing a power that is small. It is describing a power that is brought low. This “little horn” is in a very high place and will be brought to a very low place. This is shown in the next verse.
For the day of the LORD of hosts shall be upon every one that is proud and lofty, and upon every one that is lifted up; and he shall be brought low: - Isaiah 2:12
This is exactly what happens to the Serpents and the Scorpions. They are in a place of power during the Tribulation. They wield that power against the Multitude. When it comes to the end of the Tribulation they will be brought low. In actuality, at the beginning of the Tribulation, they are brought low. They have power, but they fall at the 5th trumpet. They fall to a place on no redemption. This is what is meant by the word little. Not little as one would think in the terms of size, but little in the terms of their spiritual standing with the Lord.
The next word we need to understand is the word stout. This word means; captain, chief, great, lord, master, stout. [37] This is definitely speaking about a person of importance. He is higher in rank, so to speak. He is a leader of those around him. His look is stronger than his fellows. Fellows is under-defined as; an associate:--companion, fellow. [38]
Looking at these definitions we can have a better understanding of who this little horn represents. He is a person that is more prominent than the ten horns. These 10 horns are his associates and companions, meaning they are like minded with him but not as important as he is. He is proud and lofty in his spiritual stand but will be brought low. This is describing a person of high standing that is associated with this fourth beast. There are more clues that will help us to determine who this “little horn” is.
I beheld, and the same horn made war with the saints, and prevailed against them; [22] Until the Ancient of days came, and judgment was given to the saints of the most High; and the time came that the saints possessed the kingdom. – Daniel 7:21, 22
This verse is speaking about this “little horn” that makes war with the saints and is victorious over them. Who are the saints that this verse is speaking about? The saints would be the Multitude who is trodden down by this beast. Who makes war with the saints of the most high?
And the dragon was wroth with the woman, and went to make war with the remnant of her seed, which keep the commandments of God, and have the testimony of Jesus Christ. – Revelation 12:17
The dragon makes war with the Multitude. (Remnant of her seed) [39] The fourth beast of Daniel is inhabited by the dragon (Satan) and this beast makes war with the Multitude led by their king and father, Apollyon and Abaddon. There is a leader of this beast that is in charge of accomplishing this task. He is the False Prophet that causes all to worship the beast.
We just jumped to the book of Revelation where there is a description of two beasts. One that rises up out of the sea and one that rises up out of the earth. Before we go there, lets take a look at some additional clues in Daniel.
And the ten horns out of this kingdom are ten kings that shall arise: and another shall rise after them; and he shall be diverse from the first, and he shall subdue three kings. [25] And he shall speak great words against the most High, and shall wear out the saints of the most High, and think to change times and laws: and they shall be given into his hand until a time and times and the dividing of time. – Daniel 7:24, 25
The ten horns are ten kings that shall arise and the little horn rises after them. The word after has as one of its definitions, beside. [40] The little horn as was stated earlier is among his fellows and he shall speak against the Lord of glory and will wear out (Afflict, consume, waste) [41] the Multitude.
He shall think to change times and laws. How does he do that? We will take a look at that in a bit. The Multitude will be given into his hand for a period of “a time and times and the dividing of time.” This would be 3 ½ years. A time equals 1 year, times equals 2 years, and dividing of time equals one half of a year. Adding these up you will come to 3 ½ years.
3 ½ years equal 42 months and this is the exact amount of time that is spoken about in the book of Revelation. This time period also has ten kings associated with it. There is also an uncanny resemblance of the beast in the book of Revelation with the 4th beast of Daniel. The beast that has 10 horns in the book of Daniel is the beast that rises up out of the sea in Revelation. Let’s take a look at this beast.
And I stood upon the sand of the sea, and saw a beast rise up out of the sea, having seven heads and ten horns, and upon his horns ten crowns, and upon his heads the name of blasphemy. 2 And the beast which I saw was like unto a leopard, and his feet were as the feet of a bear, and his mouth as the mouth of a lion: and the dragon gave him his power, and his seat, and great authority. – Revelation 13:1, 2
This beast rises up out of the sea just as the four beasts of Daniel rose up out of the sea. Remember that the sea is Babylon. This beast has seven heads and ten horns. The seven heads is another subject entirely and will be covered in a future book, but you may listen to the shows that were done on this subject. [42]
This beast was like a leopard. The 3rd beast of Daniel is a leopard. This leopard was shown to be representative of the Scorpions.
He has the feet of a bear. The 2nd beast of Daniel is the bear. This bear was shown to be representative of the Serpents. Also if you will remember, the 4th beast of Daniel has the nails of brass. Brass is representative of the Serpents. The feet of a bear (Serpents) and the nails of brass (Serpents) that are upon the feet confirm that this is the same beast.
He has the mouth of a lion. The 1st beast of Daniel is the lion. The eagles’ wings of this lion; was shown to be representative of the Serpents and the Scorpions. The mouth of the lion is where the children of Israel are devoured. [43] The Scorpions have the teeth of a lion and the Serpents have heads of lions. [44] This beast that rises up out of the sea in Revelation is the 4th beast of Daniel that is comprised of the previous three beasts.
The beast of Revelation has upon it ten horns. These ten horns are ten kings that serve one hour with the beast.
And the ten horns which thou sawest are ten kings, which have received no kingdom as yet; but receive power as kings one hour with the beast. - Revelation 17:12
The one hour is representative of the period of the Tribulation. This beast rises up out of the sea at a given time with the ten kings who serve with this beast for the period of the Tribulation. What about the little horn that was on this beast in Daniel? Where is this little horn in the book of Revelation? The little horn of Daniel shows up in the book of Revelation as “the beast that rises up out of the earth.”
And I beheld another beast coming up out of the earth; and he had two horns like a lamb, and he spake as a dragon. – Revelation 13:11
This beast that rises up out of the earth is actually part of the beast that rises up out of the sea yet there is a distinction between the two. He causes all to worship or follow the first beast. This is the False Prophet that is more powerful (Stout) than the ten kings for he is their leader that leads the beast to kill the saints of God.
This beast that rises out of the earth as the False Prophet is very much associated with the earth. The False Prophet, is the modern day news media.
Remember the parable of the wheat and the tares. The tares grew up out of the field. The tares are the children of the wicked one. The field is the world. [45] The world is the church. The beast that rises up out of the earth is part of the tares that is more stout than his fellows.
And it was given unto him to make war with the saints, and to overcome them: and power was given him over all kindreds, and tongues, and nations. – Revelation 13:7
This verse is describing the beast that rises up out of the sea which is the 4th beast of Daniel. This beast is given power to make war with the saints and to overcome them just as the little horn of Daniel does. The little horn of Daniel is a prominent figure that leads the beast comprised of the Serpents and the Scorpions with the ten kings to annihilate the Multitude
In the passages in Daniel, there were references to three of the horns (Kings) being plucked up. How does all of this fit together?
There are currently 10 Regional Directors in power today. These are the directors of the 10 FEMA regions. This lines up with the 10 kings that serve one hour with the beast. It appears that perhaps 3 of these directors (1/3rd) will not go along with the program of incarcerating the Multitude. Perhaps they resign or are fired. That is still in the future at this time.
For the Lord of Glory is revealing His secret to us that we may be able to understand not only who we are, but what we are to be doing in the days ahead.
We are to be bold and confident and to understand all that the Lord will show us. We have a tremendous task ahead of us; the feeding of the Multitude at the end of the age. We have much to look forward to and we were born for such a time of this, the end of this age and a new beginning. Our eyes shall behold the GLORY of the LORD as we see these events unfolding.
Scripture, when seen through the spiritual overlay gives us the understanding of these events, people, places, and things. The wise will understand and the foolish will not understand. All of these things are happening right now and the foolish have absolutely no clue. The wicked and unbelieving (Serpents and Scorpions) will be willing participants in the destruction of the innocent (Multitude) and their reward is the lake of fire where the beast (Serpents and Scorpions) and the False Prophet are cast into.
The Word is opening up to us as never before and the Lord has begun to unfold what has been kept secret for thousands of years. Praise be to the most high GOD. Amen.
Surely the Lord GOD will do nothing, but he revealeth his secret unto his servants the prophets. - Amos 3:7

Impertinent implies a forwardness of speech or action that is disrespectful and oversteps the bounds of propriety or courtesy;
Impudent implies a shameless or brazen impertinence;
Insolent implies defiant disrespect as displayed in openly insulting and contemptuous speech or behavior;
- Amos 3:7
