The Trumpet Judgements Unveiled
Chapter 14
The Land of the North
And they shall destroy the walls of Tyrus, and break down her towers: I will also scrape her dust from her, and make her like the top of a rock. [5] It shall be a place for the spreading of nets in the midst of the sea: for I have spoken it, saith the Lord GOD: and it shall become a spoil to the nations. [6] And her daughters which are in the field shall be slain by the sword; and they shall know that I am the LORD. [7] For thus saith the Lord GOD; Behold, I will bring upon Tyrus Nebuchadrezzar king of Babylon, a king of kings, from the north, with horses, and with chariots, and with horsemen, and companies, and much people [8] He shall slay with the sword thy daughters in the field: and he shall make a fort against thee, and cast a mount against thee, and lift up the buckler against thee. [9] And he shall set engines of war against thy walls, and with his axes he shall break down thy towers. [10] By reason of the abundance of his horses their dust shall cover thee: thy walls shall shake at the noise of the horsemen, and of the wheels, and of the chariots when he shall enter into thy gates, as men enter into a city wherein is made a breach. [11] With the hoofs of his horses shall he tread down all thy streets: he shall slay thy people by the sword, and thy strong garrisons shall go down to the ground. [12] And they shall make a spoil of thy riches, and make a prey of thy merchandise: and they shall break down thy walls, and destroy thy pleasant houses: and they shall lay thy stones and thy timber and thy dust in the midst of the water. - Ezekiel 26:4-12
Our first clue is in verse 5, “It shall be a place for the spreading of nets in the midst of the sea...” A spreading of nets in the midst on the sea can only be referring to the 1/3 of the creatures in the sea that had life. Remember, the other 2/3 of the creatures in the sea did not have life. (Scorpions and Serpents) Only creatures that have life (Multitude) can be captured or caught in a net. When they are taken in the net, the Multitude is caught by the Scorpions and will die at the hands of Serpents. There is a companion verse that parallels this verse.
Thus saith the Lord GOD; I will therefore spread out my net over thee with a company of many people; and they shall bring thee up in my net. - Ezekiel 32:3
Continuing in verse 5, “...and it shall become a spoil to the nations.” Who becomes a spoil? The Multitude becomes a spoil.
Verse 6 speaks about the daughters being slain in the field by a sword. “And her daughters which are in the field shall be slain by the sword...” Who is slain by the sword? The Multitude is slain by the sword. There are many references to the Multitude in scripture as the daughter of Babylon, the daughter of Zion, etc.
Verse 7 tells us of the army that comes with Nebuchadrezzar will destroy Tyrus. “Behold, I will bring upon Tyrus Nebuchadrezzar king of Babylon, a king of kings, from the north, with horses, and with chariots, and with horsemen, and companies, and much people.”
Look at the army that comes with Nebuchadrezzar; horses, chariots, horsemen, and many people. These are the same words that are used in the 5th and 6th trumpets. The word companies actually has as one of its definitions; congregation. [1] The word congregation can be used to describe a large group of people, or a congregation of a church.
Nebuchadrezzar, the king of Babylon, is stated in this verse to be a king of kings. This must be investigated for Jesus Christ is the King of Kings. Nebuchadrezzar is a king of kings. This title is not capitalized, but is the exact phrase used for Jesus. Who tries to emulate the Lord? That would be Satan. Satan is the king that is over the Scorpions of the 5th trumpet, going by the name of Appolyon or Abbaddon. He is a father to the Serpents of the 6th trumpet. He is a king of kings on this earth, ruler over those of the flesh that fight against the true children of the King of Kings. The war that was lost in heaven continues upon the earth for the period of 42 months.
The definition for Nebuchadrezzar has some very familiar definitions that we have gone over before. The definition for Nebuchadrezzar means; king of Babylon:--Nebuchadnezzar. [2] The sub-definition will begin to look familiar, it means; a perishing, destruction. [3] The next under-definition is; something lost; abstract, destruction, i.e. Hades:--lost. [4] These are the exact definitions that we found for “perdition” of the “son of perdition.” The leader of this army that comes against Tyrus is the beast that rises out of the pit and goes into perdition.
Also, notice that they come upon Tyrus from the north. This is a key identification. The Scorpions are of the south. The Serpents are of the north. The north is cold and is associated with winter.
Look at this following passage about Babylon. This shows the destruction of Babylon is from within. Notice in verse 34, that it is stated that Nebuchadrezzar has “devoured me”, (The daughter of Babylon in verse 33) which is the Multitude. This shows the internal destruction that occurs from within. The king of Babylon devours or destroys Babylon. This is the two-fold alliance of the inhabitants of Babylon (The Scorpions and Serpents) that devour the other 1/3 of Babylon, the daughter of Babylon, the Multitude.
For thus saith the LORD of hosts, the God of Israel; The daughter of Babylon is like a threshingfloor, it is time to thresh her: yet a little while, and the time of her harvest shall come. [34] Nebuchadrezzar the king of Babylon hath devoured me, he hath crushed me, he hath made me an empty vessel, he hath swallowed me up like a dragon, he hath filled his belly with my delicates, he hath cast me out. [35] The violence done to me and to my flesh be upon Babylon, shall the inhabitant of Zion say; and my blood upon the inhabitants of Chaldea, shall Jerusalem say. - Jeremiah 51:33-35
I am attempting to show you how these themes weave the scriptures together. The daughters that are slain in the field in Ezekiel 26:6 is also the daughter of Babylon in Jeremiah 51:33. Nebuchadrezzar devours the daughter of Babylon, and he comes against Tyrus. These are one and the same, the Multitude.
The phrase “he hath swallowed me up like a dragon” is very similar to the phrase “they snuffed up the wind like dragons” in Jeremiah 14:6. One of the definitions for the word snuffed up was the word swallow. [5] That does the dragon swallow? The Multitude, the same Multitude that gets snuffed up as the wind.
The Serpents (Dragons) are the army of Nebuchadrezzar that comes against the Multitude (Tyrus) and there are many other names used throughout scripture. We just need to identify them by their common themes and the elements of the destruction that are used.
Verse 9 of Ezekiel 26, gives us another clue concerning the axes. “And he shall set engines of war against thy walls, and with his axes he shall break down thy towers.” This army comes with axes and breaks down the towers. We’ll be taking a look the axes in another verse in just a bit.
Verses 11 and 12 will give us more clues that directly identify Tyrus as the Multitude that is destroyed by the Serpents. “With the hoofs of his horses shall he tread down all thy streets: he shall slay thy people by the sword, and thy strong garrisons shall go down to the ground. [12] And they shall make a spoil of thy riches, and make a prey of thy merchandise: and they shall break down thy walls, and destroy thy pleasant houses: and they shall lay thy stones and thy timber and thy dust in the midst of the water.”
The horses tread down the streets. This is the trodden under foot spoken about in many verses. They are slain by the sword; this would be the Multitude that is slain by the sword. Their riches and merchandise is a prey and taken by the Scorpions. The substance (Green grass) of the Multitude is taken from them.
It then states that their walls and towers shall be destroyed and will be laid “in the midst of the water.” Is it possible that this is referring to the sea? Remember, Babylon is covered with the multitude of the waves of the sea.
The sea is come up upon Babylon: she is covered with the multitude of the waves thereof. - Jeremiah 51:42
And here’s the final connection. Verses 17-19 of Ezekiel 26, “And they shall take up a lamentation for thee, and say to thee, How art thou destroyed, that wast inhabited of seafaring men, the renowned city, which wast strong in the sea, she and her inhabitants, which cause their terror to be on all that haunt it! [18] Now shall the isles tremble in the day of thy fall; yea, the isles that are in the sea shall be troubled at thy departure. [19] For thus saith the Lord GOD; When I shall make thee a desolate city, like the cities that are not inhabited; when I shall bring up the deep upon thee, and great waters shall cover thee;”
This city of Tyrus was inhabited by seafaring men; (The sailors being the 1/3 of the ships destroyed in the 2nd trumpet) “The renowned city,” that was “strong in the sea.” This could only be Babylon.
The “multitude of the waves” covers Babylon in Jeremiah 51:42 and in Ezekiel 26:19, the “great waters shall cover thee.” I’m sure that you are beginning to see the common themes within these passages. This runs all through the scriptures once you can understand the language.
Here are some more passages, just in case you weren’t convinced. These are also speaking about Babylon.
O thou that dwellest upon many waters, abundant in treasures, thine end is come, and the measure of thy covetousness. - Jeremiah 51:13
And there came one of the seven angels which had the seven vials, and talked with me, saying unto me, Come hither; I will shew unto thee the judgment of the great whore that sitteth upon many waters: - Revelation 17:1
And I heard as it were the voice of a great multitude, and as the voice of many waters, and as the voice of mighty thunderings, saying, Alleluia: for the Lord God omnipotent reigneth. - Revelation 19:6
And this last verse is the most convincing, “the voice of a great multitude.” This would be the Great Multitude spoken about in Revelation, chapter 7. Notice that John heard the ‘voice of a great multitude AND AS the voice of many waters.’
The Multitude has a voice as many waters; the same many waters that the great whore sits upon; the same many waters that Babylon dwellest upon.
We’re still investigating the horsemen of the 6th trumpet, the army of the north. Here are some additional verses.
And thou shalt come from thy place out of the north parts, thou, and many people with thee, all of them riding upon horses, a great company, and a mighty army: - Ezekiel 38:15
Here again, a large army is coming out of the north. And who is this army coming against?
And thou shalt come up against my people of Israel, as a cloud to cover the land; it shall be in the latter days, and I will bring thee against my land... - Ezekiel 38:16
These verses just quoted are in Ezekiel, chapter 38. Ezekiel, chapters 38 and 39 are the details of the Gog and Magog war. Read those chapters for yourself. You will find the same theme running through those chapters. Only the names have changed from Nebuchadrezzar to Gog and Magog. There may be a physical ripple of the Gog and Magog war using nations and physical war. But there is a fulfillment of a spiritual war coming against the Multitude. This spiritual war manifests in the physical by Gog and Magog (The Serpents) coming from the land of the north, where the Serpents are from. The Scorpions that come from the south are empowered by the Serpents of the north.
Another shifting identity in the following verses. The Multitude is now being referred to as Egypt. If you study these concepts, you will find that the Multitude is in Egypt. Egypt is also associated with the Scorpions.
The Multitude is also in Assyria. There are many references to the Assyrians as the Serpents. In fact the Assyrians and the Egyptians are a two-part construct of the beast, that being Babylon. These things get very in depth and deep into scripture. With much study, you will understand these different identities.
Egypt is like a very fair heifer, but destruction cometh; it cometh out of the north. [21] Also her hired men are in the midst of her like fatted bullocks; for they also are turned back, and are fled away together: they did not stand, because the day of their calamity was come upon them, and the time of their visitation. [22] The voice thereof shall go like a serpent; for they shall march with an army, and come against her with axes, as hewers of wood. [23] They shall cut down her forest, saith the LORD, though it cannot be searched; because they are more than the grasshoppers, and are innumerable. [24] The daughter of Egypt shall be confounded; she shall be delivered into the hand of the people of the north. - Jeremiah 46:20-24
Remember the calves out of the midst of the stall [6] that are eaten by those that lie back upon beds of ivory and stretch themselves upon the couches? Here is Egypt, like a fair heifer. Heifer comes from the same root definition [7] as the calves spoken about in Amos 6:4
The destruction again comes from the north and their “voice thereof shall go like a serpent.” They come with an army and they have axes. In these verses they are cutting down the forest. In the 1st trumpet 1/3 of the trees are burned up, or are they cut down with axes?
What about the axes cutting down of the towers as was referenced earlier?
The axes cut down the forest, and they cut down the towers. This is the burning, consuming, and destroying of the Multitude. If you look up the word towers, you’ll find as one of its definitions, the word, rostrum. [7] The word rostrum has as one of its definitions; pulpit or a platform for public speaking. [8] This makes it sound like the preachers and pastors get cut down, doesn’t it? You will find that is exactly what happens in this next verse.
Awake, O sword, against my shepherd, and against the man that is my fellow, saith the LORD of hosts: smite the shepherd, and the sheep shall be scattered: and I will turn mine hand upon the little ones. - Zechariah 13:7
Look at the location of this verse. It is followed by Zechariah 13:8, 9 where we began this journey.
And it shall come to pass, that in all the land, saith the LORD, two parts therein shall be cut off and die; but the third shall be left therein. [9] And I will bring the third part through the fire, and will refine them as silver is refined, and will try them as gold is tried: they shall call on my name, and I will hear them: I will say, It is my people: and they shall say, The LORD is my God. - Zechariah 13:8, 9
The smiting of the Shepherd has already occurred once at the time of the crucifixion of Jesus Christ. The Shepherd was smitten (Jesus Christ) and the sheep were scattered. But we have another replay of this in the “Judas Cycle.” The shepherds (Pastors and preachers) will be smitten and the sheep will be scattered into the four winds. But the Good Shepherd will gather them all together back into one-fold through the process of the Tribulation.
It is evident that the axes are cutting down people, of which trees and towers are a metaphor. There is another aspect that we need to investigate pertaining to the axes. We need to go back to the baker whose head was lifted off him and was hanged on a tree. This lifting off of the head signifies a beheading. In this account he was not beheaded, but was hanged on a tree. The word behead is linked to axes that cut down the towers and trees.
And I saw thrones, and they sat upon them, and judgment was given unto them: and I saw the souls of them that were beheaded for the witness of Jesus, and for the word of God, and which had not worshipped the beast, neither his image, neither had received his mark upon their foreheads, or in their hands; and they lived and reigned with Christ a thousand years. - Revelation 20:4
The word beheaded means; (meaning an axe); to chop off (the head), i.e. truncate, behead. [9]
Look at that first definition; “meaning an axe.” An axe is used to chop off the head. Okay, pretty graphic, I know, but this is most probably another metaphor. This very well may not be the death they are killed by. Let’s look at some verses pertaining to heads and tails.
And the LORD shall make thee the head, and not the tail; and thou shalt be above only, and thou shalt not be beneath; if that thou hearken unto the commandments of the LORD thy God, which I command thee this day, to observe and to do them: - Deuteronomy 28:13
If one follows the commandments of the Lord, the Lord will make that person the head and not the tail. What happens if they don’t follow the commandments of the Lord?
The stranger that is within thee shall get up above thee very high; and thou shalt come down very low. [44] He shall lend to thee, and thou shalt not lend to him: he shall be the head, and thou shalt be the tail. [45] Moreover all these curses shall come upon thee, and shall pursue thee, and overtake thee, till thou be destroyed; because thou hearkenedst not unto the voice of the LORD thy God, to keep his commandments and his statutes which he commanded thee: - Deuteronomy 28:43-45
This verse is stating that when one does not keep the Lord’s commandments, the Lord will make that person the tail, and all the curses shall come upon him. He also puts the stranger (Scorpions and Serpents) above them and brings the tail very low. There are additional verses that give us clues to the identification of the heads and tails including what their ultimate fate is.
Therefore the LORD will cut off from Israel head and tail, branch and rush, in one day. [15] The ancient and honourable, he is the head; and the prophet that teacheth lies, he is the tail. - Isaiah 9:14, 15
To simplify these verses about the head and the tail, we need to look at what is stated when one does not follow the Lord’s commandments. The Multitude does not follow the Lord’s commandments and therefore become the tail, as we can see by the next verse in Isaiah 9.
For the leaders of this people cause them to err; and they that are led of them are destroyed. - Isaiah 9:16
Those that are led are all who have followed lies which includes the Multitude. The Lord states in Isaiah 9:14 that both the head and the tail will be cut off in one day. One day would be referring to the Tribulation. The Multitude will be cut off, just as the wicked is cut off. The only difference between the two is that the Multitude is allowed to come back whereas the wicked are not.
The Scorpions are described as locusts with the tail of a scorpion. The Serpents are described as horses with lions' heads and tails of Serpents heads. It is interesting that the poison they hurt the Multitude with comes from their tails. The Scorpions have the teeth of a lion. The Serpents have the head of a lion which would include teeth. The mouth and the teeth are used for devouring.
The Lord is going to cut off both the head and the tail during the time of the Tribulation. When you look at the mechanics of this concept you find two parallels to what has been discussed previously.
The head that is cut off gives one a picture of beheading. That sounds familiar. The Multitude is beheaded for the witness of Jesus. The tail that is cut off gives one the picture of the docking of a tail. We came across that definition in the shortening of the days. Both the head and the tail that are to be cut off are speaking about the Multitude and the apostate.
Let us continue in Jeremiah 46, verse 23 “...because they are more than the grasshoppers, and are innumerable.”
This verse read the way it has been translated does not fit with what we know about the division of the church into thirds. Jeremiah 46:22 states that this army’s voice goes like a serpent (Because they are the Serpents) and they are more than the grasshoppers. How could they be more? A third (Serpents) cannot be more than a third. (Scorpions) They are equal in size. Unless God was a little off on His count, which is ridiculous.
When the Lord states that they are divided into thirds, you can bet they are accurately divided into thirds. Look at the dividing of hair in Ezekiel, chapter 5. He actually weighs the hair into three equal portions using weighing balances.
Therefore, we must look a little deeper to harmonize the scriptures. The word more has as some of its definitions; to cast together, to increase, especially in number, also to multiple by the myriad. [10] One of its sub-definitions has the word; a myriad. [11] This word will be showing up in the verse pertaining to the number of the horsemen of the 6th trumpet.
The word grasshoppers means; a locust, from its rapid increase. [12]
With these definitions in mind, let’s read that verse with what knowledge we currently have about these two groups coupled with the definitions.
‘Because they are cast together and are increasing rapidly with the grasshoppers which are also increasing rapidly and are innumerable.’ Using the definitions, this verse is brought into harmony with what we know about these two groups and how they are united as one, yet separate. They are cast together. Just as the thorns and briers that shall mount up like the lifting up of smoke; separate, yet united.
The last word used in that verse is the word innumerable. At first glance, one would think that this word is describing a large number of people. This is true. However, there is an additional layer to be understood. This word actually ties in with Romans, chapter 9. And what a tie in! The word innumerable has two definitions that comprise this word. The first word is defined in the negative. Definitions such as; to be nothing or not exist; a non‑entity, neither, never, none, no, not. [13] This is used as a negative coupled with the accompanying word.
The accompanying word is defined as; a number, definite (arithmetical) or indefinite. [14] The sub-definition is defined as; properly, to score with a mark as a tally or record, i.e. (by implication) to inscribe, and also to enumerate. [15] These definitions are speaking about mathematical numbering, or counting.
When we put the two words together, we find that the word innumerable means not a number, or more properly not counted. Who is not counted? Both the Serpents and the Scorpions are not counted. Even though we know that they are each a third, this word tells us they are not counted. Not counted for what? Let’s go to Romans 9:6-8.
Not as though the word of God hath taken none effect. For they are not all Israel, which are of Israel: [7] Neither, because they are the seed of Abraham, are they all children: but, In Isaac shall thy seed be called. [8] That is, They which are the children of the flesh, these are not the children of God: but the children of the promise are counted for the seed. - Romans 9:6-8
“For they are not all Israel, which are of Israel.” How is that? There is a physical Israel, and a spiritual Israel. This verse shows the separation between the two. “In Isaac shall the seed be called” is referring to the spiritual Jew. Who are the children of the flesh? The spiritual Gentiles are the children of the flesh.
In physical Israel, you have the physical Jew of the nation of Israel, or physical descendant thereof and all others are physical Gentiles; even the Christians. Everyone that is not a physical Jew is a physical Gentile.
The same is true of the spiritual Israel. There is the spiritual Jew of the spiritual nation of Israel and all others are spiritual Gentiles; and this includes a Christian that not only does not claim their birthright, but willingly gives it to the physical Jew. Yes, these Christians that give away their spiritual birthright are spiritual Gentiles. Everyone that is not a spiritual Jew is a spiritual Gentile within the constructs of “the church.”
The spiritual Gentiles are the children of the flesh that are not the children of God in verse 8 of Romans 9.
By process of deduction, looking at verse 8; the children of the promise (Spiritual Jews) are counted for the seed. If they are counted for the seed, then we can deduce that the children of the flesh (spiritual Gentiles) are not counted for the seed. The spiritual Gentiles are not counted.
Returning to the word innumerable which means not counted, we can now link this to Romans 9:8. The Serpents and Scorpions are not counted for the seed, for they are children of the flesh, not the children of the promise. They are Spiritual Gentiles. “...And Jerusalem shall be trodden down of the Gentiles, until the times of the Gentiles be fulfilled.” [16] This is the treading down of the spiritual Jews (Multitude) by the Serpents and the Scorpions, the spiritual Gentiles.
Everything keeps coming back to ‘who you are in Christ,’ the heritage of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob. If you have this wrong, your next stop is as either one of the Multitude (Who learn this during their trial) or the lake of fire, where the apostate will be. Rejection of your true heritage is rejection of the Lord Jesus Christ.
Who is a liar but he that denieth that Jesus is the Christ? He is antichrist, that denieth the Father and the Son. - 1 John 2:22
The word denieth has within its definition the word; reject. [17] When one rejects their true birthright, are they not rejecting Jesus Christ? Yes, they are, for they are rejecting the Words of the Bible and the Words of the Bible are Jesus Christ; He is the Word.
The word liar means; to utter an untruth, falsify. [18] What do they do when they say the physical Jews are the chosen people? They utter an untruth. They falsify the Truth of the scriptures. They are therefore liars and in denying the truth, reject that Jesus is Christ. How is that done? They don’t believe the Truth and in doing so reject the Truth. The Truth is the Word, the Word is Jesus Christ. He is antichrist who denies the Father and the Son.
Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me. - John 14:6
And he was clothed with a vesture dipped in blood: and his name is called The Word of God. - Revelation 19:13
Oh, they say they love Jesus, they say that Jesus Christ is Lord, but they don’t love the Truth. Jesus is the Truth and Jesus is called the Word of God. If they love not the truth, they love not Jesus. When they love not the truth, they reject and deny that Jesus is Christ, which makes them antichrist.
When the Multitude finally realizes the truth, they will wholeheartedly accept this foundational principle. They will return to the Lord and embrace the Truth. They will proclaim and love the Truth. They will come out of her (Babylon) and wash their robes in the blood of the Lamb. When they come out of her they will become a member of spiritual Israel.
In the time of the Exodus, the coming out of Egypt was referred to as “The LORD liveth, that brought up the children of Israel out of the land of Egypt;” as you can see in this next verse.
Therefore, behold, the days come, saith the LORD, that it shall no more be said, The LORD liveth, that brought up the children of Israel out of the land of Egypt; [15] But, The LORD liveth, that brought up the children of Israel from the land of the north, and from all the lands whither he had driven them: and I will bring them again into their land that I gave unto their fathers. - Jeremiah 16:14, 15
There is a shift that occurs in these verses. It states “that it shall no more be said” concerning the Lord bringing the children of Israel out of the land of Egypt, BUT “The LORD liveth, that brought up the children of Israel from the land of the north.”
The gathering together of the Multitude will be referred to by future generations as “The LORD liveth, that brought up the children of Israel from the land of the north.” Yes, this will be stated in the future. The Multitude will be brought out of the land of the north by the Lord. They will be gathered one by one from the mouth of the lion.
We still have one more verse in the Jeremiah 46 passages that we need to look at.
The daughter of Egypt shall be confounded; she shall be delivered into the hand of the people of the north. - Jeremiah 46:24
This passage with “the daughter of” is referring to the Multitude. But, this is the daughter of Egypt. Not Babylon, Jerusalem, or Zion. This is because they are all one and the same spiritually. The daughter of Egypt, Babylon, Judah, and Jerusalem, my people, etc. are speaking about the Multitude.
Therefore; “The daughter of Egypt (Multitude) shall be confounded; she shall be delivered into the hand of the people of the north". (The Serpents, of which the Scorpions are in unity)
Who is confounded? “Then the moon shall be confounded...” is found in Isaiah 24:23. Who is the moon? The Multitude is representative of the moon and is confounded. The Multitude is delivered into the hand of the Serpents.
In that day shall Israel be the third with Egypt and with Assyria, even a blessing in the midst of the land: - Isaiah 19:24
The Multitude will be 1/3 with spiritual Egypt and Spiritual Assyria in that day; the day of the feast of the LORD. They will come out of spiritual Babylon, which is also spiritual Egypt and spiritual Assyria, and they shall be a blessing in the midst of the land. They will be a problem for the Scorpions and the Serpents and their plans, but they will be a blessing as one of the Remnant of Israel.
This last verse concerning the north (There are many verses) directly connects the ones that are in the four winds.
Ho, ho, come forth, and flee from the land of the north, saith the LORD: for I have spread you abroad as the four winds of the heaven, saith the LORD. - Zechariah 2:6
Notice the words “Ho, ho.” When you look at the definition for the word ho, you will find; alas, oh, or woe. [19] And since there are two of them, this would be referring to the 6th trumpet; alas, alas, or woe, woe, or ho, ho.
The Lord refers to this group (Multitude) that He is speaking about as the ones that have been spread abroad as the four winds of heaven. The words spread you abroad has as one of its definitions, scattered. [20] The Multitude is scattered in the wind in Ezekiel 5:2
The Multitude is told to flee from the land of the north. This would be a spiritual fleeing and not a physical fleeing, for none of the Multitude escapes persecution and death. They flee from the land of the north just like they are told to flee Babylon, and to flee Judea when they see the Abomination of Desolation. There will be an initial physical fleeing of some, but they will all be fugitives and tracked down as such. None shall escape.
Flee out of the midst of Babylon, and deliver every man his soul: be not cut off in her iniquity; for this is the time of the LORD'S vengeance; he will render unto her a recompence. - Jeremiah 51:6
The Multitude is delivered into the hand of the people of the north, into the hand of the army of the Serpents via the Scorpions. When they understand the predicament they are in, they will turn to the Lord and spiritually flee the land of spiritual Egypt. (Babylon) When they spiritually flee Egypt, they will embrace the heritage of their true birthright and spiritually enter into Israel. The Lord shall deliver them there. Not physically, but spiritually.
There is actually a connection that illustrates that there shall be another Exodus, not from the land of Egypt, but from the land of the north, the land of the Assyrians.
O Assyrian, the rod of mine anger, and the staff in their hand is mine indignation. [6] I will send him against an hypocritical nation, and against the people of my wrath will I give him a charge, to take the spoil, and to take the prey, and to tread them down like the mire of the streets. - Isaiah 10:5, 6
This verse tells us that the Lord uses the Assyrian as His instrument against the Multitude. The Assyrians take a spoil (Through the Scorpions) and a prey, and treads them down.
The Israelites were under the bondage of the Pharaoh in Egypt, which resulted in the Exodus out of Egypt. The Lord led the children out of the land of Egypt. We are told in 1 Corninthians 10:11 that all these things happened for examples “upon whom the ends of the world has come.” That’s directly speaking to you and I.
The Exodus will replay again, but the Assyrian will be the oppressor and the land is of the north. The serpent is the Assyrian, and the land of the north is the land of the Assyrian. There is a clue that links the Assyrian to the Egyptians.
For thus saith the Lord GOD, My people went down aforetime into Egypt to sojourn there; and the Assyrian oppressed them without cause. - Isaiah 52:4
Do you see what is happening here? When His people were in Egypt, it was the Egyptians and Pharaoh that oppressed them, not the Assyrian. These are shifting identities. The end time Assyrian that will be oppressing the Multitude IS the Egyptian and Pharoah of old times. It will be happening again, only the names have changed. Except this time, they don’t walk out of the physical Egypt; they are killed by the Spiritual Assyrians and come out of the land of the north as one of the Multitude.
In those days and at that time it shall truly be stated “The LORD liveth, that brought up the children of Israel from the land of the north…” [21] “And the LORD shall inherit Judah his portion in the holy land, and shall choose Jerusalem again.” [22]
