Chapter 3
The Division of Israel (Today’s church) into Thirds
1 Peter 4:17 For the time is come that judgment must begin at the house of God: and if it first begin at us, what shall the end be of them that obey not the gospel of God?
God’s judgment is coming for the church. This is the purpose of the Tribulation. Today’s Christian church is totally apostate.
1 Corinthians 10:11 Now all these things happened unto them for ensamples: and they are written for our admonition, upon whom the ends of the world are come.
Paul tells us in this passage that everything that happened in the Old Testament and even the New Testament are written for us as an instruction manual in the end times. That would be the Tribulation. Everything in the Bible is written as not only a warning but for our instruction. Everything that we need to guide us through the Tribulation with the Holy Spirit is there for us. We are to use these examples to guide us as the 144,000 on what to do, what our role is, and how we are to help with the harvest of the Multitude.
But, these things that happened to them are examples. We are to take those examples and apply the Metaphoric Language (See series “The Metaphorical Language” on the website www.thethreshingflooracademy.com and Chapter 11 'The Metaphorical Language' in this book "A Wheel Within A Wheel") and Spiritual Overlay (See Chapter 6 'The Spiritual Overlay' in this book “A Wheel Within A Wheel”) to understand what is being conveyed to us as it applies to the end times.
To do that, we need to understand that from Genesis to Revelation is one story told a thousand different ways. The Bible is the one story of God dealing with His people, the church. It is all about the church. The Bible was not written for the world. The Bible was written for the Church. That is what we need to focus on is how God is dealing with His Church. The Tribulation is His final act of dealing with His Church. And how does God deal with His people in the end times?
The Lord begins the Tribulation by dividing Israel or the church into thirds.
One third of the apostate are these strange creatures of the 5th trumpet. They are the locusts that have the tails of scorpions. They have the appearance of horses and lions teeth. These descriptions are metaphors that are used to identify attributes and traits of this group. This group will be referred to as the Scorpions.
One third of the apostate are horses with heads of lions and tails with serpent heads of the sixth trumpet. There is fire, smoke and brimstone coming out of their mouths. Here again, these are metaphors to describe the attributes and traits of this group of the apostate. This group will be referred to as the Serpents.
The Multitude is the third group of people that are Christians. They will be stripped of all they own by the Scorpions and murdered by the Serpents. They are the Overcomers described in the seven churches of Revelation. (See Chapter 13 “The Seven Churches” within this book 'A Wheel Within A Wheel') They will be referred to as the Multitude.
Ezekiel 21:1-3 And the word of the LORD came unto me, saying, Son of man, set thy face toward Jerusalem, (the apostate church) and drop thy word toward the holy places, (the apostate churches) and prophesy against the land of Israel, (the apostate church) And say to the land of Israel, (the apostate church) Thus saith the LORD; Behold, I am against thee, and will draw forth my sword out of his sheath, (the Tribulation) and will cut off from thee the righteous (the Multitude) and the wicked. (The Serpents and the Scorpions)
This is the total destruction of Israel, Jerusalem and why there is a ‘New Jerusalem’ The Lord utterly destroys ‘the church’ due to its apostate way and constant corruption. Israel, which is the church, is then divided into thirds through this process of cleaning out of Israel.
Zechariah 13:8,9 And it shall come to pass, that in all the land, saith the LORD, two parts therein shall be cut off and die; (Serpents and Scorpions) but the third shall be left therein. (Multitude) And I will bring the third part through the fire, (Multitude) and will refine them as silver is refined, and will try them as gold is tried: they shall call on my name, and I will hear them: I will say, It is my people: and they shall say, The LORD is my God. (This is when the Multitude confess their sins of worshipping other gods, repents, and accepts their punishment to receive eternal salvation)
Revelation 16:19 Now the great city was divided into three parts, (Serpents, Scorpions, and Multitude) and the cities of the nations fell. And great Babylon was remembered before God, to give her the cup of the wine of the fierceness of His wrath.
Ezekiel 5:1-3 And thou, son of man, take thee a sharp knife, take thee a barber's razor, and cause it to pass upon thine head and upon thy beard: then take thee balances to weigh, and divide the hair. Thou shalt burn with fire a third part in the midst of the city, when the days of the siege are fulfilled: (days of the siege is referring to the end when the Multitude goes through their ‘Great Tribulation) and thou shalt take a third part, and smite about it with a knife: (Serpents) and a third part thou shalt scatter in the wind; and I will draw out a sword after them. (Multitude) Thou shalt also take thereof a few in number, and bind them in thy skirts. (144,000)
