The Trumpet Judgements Unveiled
Chapter 16
The Serpents of Brass
For their power is in their mouth, and in their tails: for their tails were like unto serpents, and had heads, and with them they do hurt. - Revelation 9:19
The power of the Serpents is in their mouth. It is the fire, smoke, and brimstone that issues out of their mouths. The fire that issues out of their mouths reveals their wickedness.
And the tongue is a fire, a world of iniquity: so is the tongue among our members, that it defileth the whole body, and setteth on fire the course of nature; and it is set on fire of hell. - James 3:6
The fire that issues out of their mouths are words of wickedness by accusing the Multitude of Blasphemy.
The anger that issues out of their mouths in the form of words will be the mocking, the chiding, and the degrading of the Multitude. The anger that the Serpents have toward the Multitude will be manifested in the accusations they bring against the Multitude.
The brimstone that issues out of their mouths will be the religious and jurisdictional authority that will be manifested in the judgments that they pronounce against the Multitude.
The voice thereof shall go like a serpent; for they shall march with an army, and come against her with axes, as hewers of wood. [23] They shall cut down her forest, saith the LORD, though it cannot be searched; because they are more than the grasshoppers, and are innumerable. - Jeremiah 46:22, 23
In this verse we are told that “The voice thereof shall go like a serpent.” The voice is the power in their mouths, and then with the power they have in their mouth they march with an army and cut down the Multitude. They have the axes to behead (Cut down the trees) of the Multitude.
Yes, indeed, their power is in their mouth. And the power is also in their tails; for their tails are like serpents and these serpents have heads and with these heads they do hurt.
This is the identification of the horses and horsemen. The horse’s tails with heads of serpents are the overall identity of this group. The serpent is associated with Leviathan. Leviathan is Satan. What spirit inhabits this group? Satan.
This group, the Serpents hold the role of the Scribes, Pharisees, and Sadducees in the Judas Cycle. What did Jesus call the Scribes, Pharisees and Sadducees on several occasions? He called them serpents and vipers.
O generation of vipers, how can ye, being evil, speak good things? for out of the abundance of the heart the mouth speaketh. - Matthew 12:34
Ye serpents, ye generation of vipers, how can ye escape the damnation of hell? - Matthew 23:33
Jesus identified the Serpents for us 2,000 years ago. And you know what the Scribes, Pharisees, and Sadducees were guilty of? Accusing Jesus of Blasphemy and sending Him to his death. We have a replay of this coming up very soon with the Multitude in the place of Jesus who will claim their true birthright as the sons of God.
The word viper means; an adder or other poisonous snake. [1] They have poison all right. That is why the serpent’s heads on the tails of the horses hurt. It is their poison that hurts the Multitude, their words full of bitterness that they feed the Multitude.
There is also another replay coming of what happened during the Exodus. In the Exodus account, we will find the brass is connected to the Serpents.
And the LORD sent fiery Serpents among the people, and they bit the people; and much people of Israel died. [7] Therefore the people came to Moses, and said, We have sinned, for we have spoken against the LORD, and against thee; pray unto the LORD, that he take away the Serpents from us. And Moses prayed for the people. [8] And the LORD said unto Moses, Make thee a fiery serpent, and set it upon a pole: and it shall come to pass, that every one that is bitten, when he looketh upon it, shall live. [9] And Moses made a serpent of brass, and put it upon a pole, and it came to pass, that if a serpent had bitten any man, when he beheld the serpent of brass, he lived. - Numbers 21:6-9
This is most interesting. The people sinned against the Lord, so the Lord sent fiery serpents among the people. These serpents bit the people and many died. The people repented and asked Moses to pray for them. Moses prays and the Lord tells him to make a fiery serpent. Moses makes this serpent out of brass and when the people that were bitten looked upon this serpent, they lived.
This is most strange. This is almost like setting up an idol for the people to look upon. What is the significance of this?
It is through the Serpents that the Multitude will be killed. All of the Multitude will be bitten by the Serpents; the Multitude is going to die. But, when the Multitude looks upon the Serpents, knowing that it is through their being martyred by the Serpents, they will receive eternal life, they will live.
In the 5th trumpet we discussed that men were seeking death and death shall flee from them. They cannot find death from the Scorpions, for the Scorpions do not have the power to kill them. But the Serpents DO have the power to kill them. And the Multitude knows that if they are killed as a martyr, they will receive eternal life.
And they overcame him by the blood of the Lamb, and by the word of their testimony; and they loved not their lives unto the death. - Revelation 12:11
The Multitude will look upon the brass Serpent knowing that the Serpents will kill them. But through their death at the hands of the Serpents, they will live. They will find the death that they seek, and it is through the brass Serpent that is set on a pole that they look upon that they will find it. It is through their death that they will receive eternal life.
Reviewing the iron and the brass we find the beast in Daniel has teeth of iron and nails of brass. The briers and the thorns are the iron and the brass. The Lord esteems the iron as straw and the brass as rotten wood. The heaven and earth shall be as brass and iron, and the Multitude is trapped between them.
He esteemeth iron as straw, and brass as rotten wood. - Job 41:27
They are all grievous revolters, walking with slanders: they are brass and iron; they are all corrupters. - Jeremiah 6:28
And thy heaven that is over thy head shall be brass, and the earth that is under thee shall be iron. - Deuteronomy 28:23
And I will break the pride of your power; and I will make your heaven as iron, and your earth as brass: - Leviticus 26:19
Let’s go back to the definition of snuffed up speaking about the wild asses that snuffed up the wind like dragons. There is another phrase in that definition that gives us another identification of the Serpents which connects to the eagle and Babylon; the words to hasten.
The Serpents are angry as it states in the definition for snuffed up, but also they are in a hurry. Hence, the word hasten is associated with them. What did the Scribes, Pharisees, and Sadducees do when they finally had Jesus in their grips? They hastened Jesus through the mock trial and to his death. They actually held night court in the middle of the night to speed up this process. If this process took too long there might have been an uprising of the people in Jerusalem and they wouldn’t be able to do what they wanted.
Therefore, they pushed the mock trial through as fast as possible. They were hasty, weren’t they? In the same fashion, when the Multitude is in the hands of the Serpents, they too are hasty to be on with their mission. As we can see, this word hasty helps to make more identifications and connections.
For, lo, I raise up the Chaldeans, that bitter and hasty nation, which shall march through the breadth of the land, to possess the dwellingplaces that are not theirs. - Habbakkuk 1:6
Who are the Chaldeans? The Chaldeans are the Babylonians. They are a bitter and hasty nation, bitter as Wormwood, and they are hasty. They are an army that marches through the land, taking what is not theirs.
When you look up the definition for hasty you will find words like; swift, rash, suddenly, make speed, be hasty, and a most unusual definition of; to be liquid or flow easily. [2] Is it possible that this could be referring to the issue or water of the overflowing scourge? Yes, it most certainly is. This fits perfectly.
The word suddenly brings to mind “then sudden destruction cometh.” [3] The words swifter and hasteth show up in these next verses. This next verse is located two verses after the verse speaking about the Chaldeans, that bitter and hasty nation.
Their horses also are swifter than the leopards, and are more fierce than the evening wolves: and their horsemen shall spread themselves, and their horsemen shall come from far; they shall fly as the eagle that hasteth to eat. - Habbakkuk 1:8
Their horses are swifter than the leopards and fiercer than the evening wolves. Both the leopards and the wolves have already been identified as the Scorpions. So, the Serpents are swifter and fiercer than the Scorpions. The big clue is that these Serpents are as the eagle. The eagle is in a hurry to devour its prey. There is another connection that connects the eagles to the stars which are the Serpents.
Though thou exalt thyself as the eagle, and though thou set thy nest among the stars, thence will I bring thee down, saith the LORD. - Obadiah 1:4
These are the high places that the wild asses stand upon. They have exalted themselves as the eagle. They have set their nest among the stars. There are too many clues in this room.
And let’s see where these eagles (Serpents) congregate.
And they answered and said unto him, Where, Lord? And he said unto them, Wheresoever the body is, thither will the eagles be gathered together. - Luke 17:37
They are gathered around the dead bodies of the Multitude; the gathering of the Multitude are the ones that are taken. Where the Multitude is taken is where the eagles are gathered, they will be gathered around the dead bodies of the Multitude relishing in their great accomplishment.
They shall put you out of the synagogues: yea, the time cometh, that whosoever killeth you will think that he doeth God service. - John 16:2
The Serpents will think that they are doing the will of God when they are killing the Multitude.
And the rest of the men which were not killed by these plagues yet repented not of the works of their hands, that they should not worship devils, and idols of gold, and silver, and brass, and stone, and of wood: which neither can see, nor hear, nor walk: [21] Neither repented they of their murders, nor of their sorceries, nor of their fornication, nor of their thefts. - Revelation 9:20, 21
“And the rest of the men which were not killed by these plagues” opens up our understanding on many points. First of all, who are the men that were killed by these plagues? What are these plagues?
The plagues are the fire, smoke and brimstone. By these three things, the fire, the smoke, and the brimstone are 1/3 of men killed. That would be the Multitude that is killed. Once the ones that are killed by the plagues are identified, we have those who have not been killed by these plagues. Since we are speaking about the church, and the church is divided into thirds, “the rest of the men” would be referring to the Scorpions and the Serpents.
This tells us that at the end of the killing of the Multitude which would be the end of the 6th trumpet, both the Scorpions and the Serpents are still alive. It also tells us that this judgement upon the church deals with the church specifically and not the entire world.
For when it states that “the rest of the men that weren’t killed by these plagues yet repented not” could only be referring to people that are in the church and are fallen away. It is not referring to the Buddhists, or the Hindus, or the Islamic. God’s wrath is upon the church, not the heathen.
If you familiarize yourself with the Old Testament, you will find that the Lord never plagued the heathen undeservedly. The only time the Lord tangled with neighboring nations is when they either came against Israel or they were in the Promised Land that the Lord had given to Israel. The Lord’s wrath does not come down upon the heathen. It comes down on the people who claim His name, but walk after other gods.
And we can clarify this premise by what follows this verse. They yet repented not of the works of their hands, the worshiping of devils and idols. They also did not repent of their murders, sorceries, fornications, or thefts.
You will find the identifications of the Scorpions and the Serpents within these classifications of the sins that they are guilty of. Let’s take a look at them.
Murders means; (to slay); murder, slaughter. [4] This can easily be identified as being committed by the Serpents.
Sorceries means; medication (“pharmacy”), i.e. (by extension) magic (literally or figuratively), sorcery, witchcraft. [5] Its under definition means; (a drug, i.e. spell-giving potion); a druggist (“pharmacist”) or poisoner. [6]
Looking up the definition in the Old Testament of the word Serpents you will find; to hiss, i.e. whisper a (magic) spell; to prognosticate, divine, enchanter, (use) X enchantment. [7]
That definition certainly parallels the definition for sorceries. Also in the definition for sorceries is the word poisoner. We can also find poisonous in the definition for viper. [8]
This will identify the Serpents as the ones that did not repent of their sorceries or their murders.
The clue in this next sin and its identification to which group it identifies is buried in the sub-definitions.
Fornication means; harlotry (including adultery and incest); figuratively, idolatry, fornication. [9] The next definition means; to act the harlot, i.e. (literally) indulge unlawful lust (of either sex), or (figuratively) practice idolatry, commit (fornication). [10]
The next definition means; figuratively, an idolater, harlot, whore. [11] These definitions thus far are definitely pointing to the Whore of Babylon, and idolatry is showing up. That is one of the things that they were not repenting of, the worshiping of idols. Today’s churches are idols, their jobs and possessions are idols. There are idols all over the place.
The next sub-definition begins to give us the more specific definitions; (to sell); a (male) prostitute (as venal), i.e. (by analogy) a debauchee (libertine), fornicator, whoremonger. [12]
Remember when we were looking at the sub-definition for cages in Jeremiah 5:27? The sub-definition had the phrase “a male prostitute.” This was and is connected to the Scorpions. And it is an under the definition for fornication that a male prostitute shows up. This is another algorithm.
The word venal that shows up in this definition is defined in the dictionary as; 1. that can readily be bribed or corrupted 2. capable of being obtained for a price. 3. characterized by corruption or bribery. There’s the identification. That fits the Scorpions to a tee.
We have two more under definitions to look at. Drilling down to the next definition; to traverse, to traffic (by travelling), i.e. dispose of as merchandise or into slavery (literally or figuratively), sell. [13] You can’t get more specific than that. This is definitely referring to the Scorpions.
And through covetousness shall they with feigned words make merchandise of you: whose judgment now of a long time lingereth not, and their damnation slumbereth not. - 2 Peter 2:3
This verse is speaking about the Scorpions. With lying words they will sell the Multitude for reward. Their damnation slumbereth not for they will be damned for they come from “The border of wickedness,” the damnable nation. Remember the cages of birds, the houses full of deceit? One of the definitions for deceit was the word feigned.
The last definition gives us the final wrap-up. It is; to pierce. This is the pierce of the Scorpion. No doubt now which group this is referring to.
And the definition continues; i.e. across, beyond, farther (other) side, over. [14] These definitions give us a link to Obadiah. We will cover this in the next chapter.
Thefts means; stealing (properly, the thing stolen, but used of the act), theft. [15] This is also identifiable with the Scorpions.
The “rest of the men that were not killed by these plagues” are the Scorpions and the Serpents. This gives us a timing element. This is speaking about the end of the 6th trumpet when the entire Multitude has been killed, and the Scorpions and the Serpents have the 3rd woe (7th trumpet) right upon them. This is when the Lord deals with these wicked men and the wrath and indignation of the Lord will come down upon those that have murdered the saints of God.
The saints under the altar at the 5th seal ask the Lord “How long O Lord, holy and true, dost thou not judge and avenge our blood on them that dwell on the earth?” [16] The Lord tells them to rest yet a little season until their fellowservents and brethren are martyred.
When the last of the Multitude is killed, the little season has now ended. The Lord will then judge and avenge the blood of the martyrs. The “rest of the men” will be the recipients of the judging and avenging by the Lord. This is the patience of the saints, knowing that this time will come, and has come. The saints will receive reward, and the apostate will receive punishment, eternal punishment.
This concludes the study of the details of the trumpet judgements. In this study of the trumpet judgements we were able to identify the metaphors that are used to understand the spiritual manifestations and how this plays out in the physical. These are not what everyone has thought they would be. Not to say that there won’t be any physical occurrences. If there are any literal physical occurrences, they will be but ripples of the spiritual manifestation and its follow through to the physical. But it is plain to see that these metaphors are identifications to be able to recognize what will happen during the Great Tribulation.

The power of the Serpents is in their mouth. It is the fire, smoke, and brimstone that issues out of their mouths. The fire that issues out of their mouths reveals their wickedness.

In this verse we are told that “The voice thereof shall go like a serpent.” The voice is the power in their mouths, and then with the power they have in their mouth they march with an army and cut down the Multitude. They have the axes to behead (Cut down the trees) of the Multitude.

This is most interesting. The people sinned against the Lord, so the Lord sent fiery serpents among the people. These serpents bit the people and many died. The people repented and asked Moses to pray for them. Moses prays and the Lord tells him to make a fiery serpent.
