His Secret
Chapter 6
Death and Hell
And when he had opened the fourth seal, I heard the voice of the fourth beast say, Come and see. [8] And I looked, and behold a pale horse: and his name that sat on him was Death, and Hell followed with him. And power was given unto them over the fourth part of the earth, to kill with sword, and with hunger, and with death, and with the beasts of the earth. - Revelation 6:7, 8
There are two riders associated with the pale horse; Death and Hell. Notice that the names of these two riders are capitalized. They are proper names for they name a group of people. Death is representative of the Serpents. They are spiritually dead and will partake of the second death. Hell is the Scorpions for they follow with the Serpents.
The Serpents are the leaders and the Scorpions are the followers of the Serpents. Hell is of course the grave; exactly where the Scorpions go; down to the grave. The word followed is defined as; from 1 (as a particle of union) and keleuthos (a road); properly, to be in the same way with, i.e. to accompany (specially, as a disciple):--follow, reach. [1]
Hell (Scorpions) is in union with Death (Serpents) on the same road together. Their choices will ultimately take them to the same place, death and hell in the lake of fire. The combination of Death and Hell is the union that is made between the Scorpions and the Serpents.
This horse is a pale color. It consists of Death and Hell. These two, Death and Hell have power over the earth to kill 1/4 part of the earth. This is the union between the Scorpions and the Serpents. This is the same covenant with Death and Hell the Multitude is in agreement with.
Because ye have said, We have made a covenant with death, and with hell are we at agreement; when the overflowing scourge shall pass through, it shall not come unto us: for we have made lies our refuge, and under falsehood have we hid ourselves: - Isaiah 28:15
And your covenant with death shall be disannulled, and your agreement with hell shall not stand; when the overflowing scourge shall pass through, then ye shall be trodden down by it. - Isaiah 28:18
The Multitude currently has a covenant with death (Serpents) and they are in agreement with hell (Scorpions) for they are sitting right next to them in the pews, taking in the lies put forth by their pastors that everything is going to be just fine.
The Multitude has made lies their refuge and has a covenant with death (Serpents) and hell (Scorpions) they are agreeing with. The Multitude will die a spiritual death and go to hell if the Lord does not shorten their days. The overflowing scourge (Serpents/ Scorpions) shall pass through and the Multitude shall be trodden under foot. The tribulation will come upon them and they will be betrayed by the Scorpions (Hell) and murdered by the Serpents. (Death)
There is also an additional identification in the overflowing scourge. The word overflowing is defined as; to gush; by implication, to inundate, cleanse; by analogy, to gallop, conquer:--drown, (over-)flow (- whelm, rinse, run, rush, (thoroughly) wash (away). [2]
What we can glean from this definition gives us the identification of the Serpents. The Serpents do gush over the Multitude. They gallop over them as the horsemen of the 6th trumpet and they conquer the Multitude. The Multitude is drowned just as in the days of Noah. Through the process of their persecution and death at the hands of the Scorpions and the Serpents, they are cleansed, and their robes are washed and made white in the blood of the Lamb. [3]
There is additional clarification in the following verse.
Judgment also will I lay to the line, and righteousness to the plummet: and the hail shall sweep away the refuge of lies, and the waters shall overflow the hiding place. - Isaiah 28:17
The refuge of lies that the Multitude is in will be swept away by the hail which has previously been identified as the Serpents, [4] and the waters shall overflow their hiding place. The hail and the water in these verses are referring to the Serpents.
The scourge is an identification of the Scorpions. The definition of scourge is; a lash (literally or figuratively):--scourge, whip. [5]
The definition in the Old Testament for scorpions is; a scorpion; figuratively, a scourge or knotted whip:--scorpion. [6] This is a perfect match directly linking the Scorpions to the scourge of Isaiah 28:15 and Isaiah 28:18.
The overflowing scourge is an identification of the Serpents and the Scorpions whose names are Death and Hell. The Scorpions betray (Whip) the Multitude and the Serpents kill (Drown) them. These two will most certainly sweep away the lies and overflow the hiding place of the Multitude. It is the Multitude that is trodden down by the Serpents and the Scorpions. The Serpents and the Scorpions are the spiritual Gentiles, whereas the Multitude are the spiritual Jews also known as “Jerusalem.”
And they shall fall by the edge of the sword, and shall be led away captive into all nations: and Jerusalem shall be trodden down of the Gentiles, until the times of the Gentiles be fulfilled. – Luke 21:24
There is an additional clue in the under-definition of the word scourge which we will examine later that will link the 5th Trumpet (Scorpions) to the riders upon the horses in Zechariah, chapter 1 to the 7th seal pertaining to the “silence in heaven.”
Let’s now examine the color of the horse itself. The word pale means; greenish, i.e. verdant, dun-colored:--green, pale. [7]
There are connections within these definitions that include both the Scorpions and the Serpents. The word verdant in the definition for the word pale has as one of its definitions immature. [8] Immature is used to describe green fruit that is unripe or not mature. [9] This is connected directly to the Serpents.
And the stars of heaven fell unto the earth, even as a fig tree casteth her untimely figs, when she is shaken of a mighty wind. - Revelation 6:13
The stars are a metaphor for the Serpents. [10] The stars (Serpents) fall from heaven as a fig tree casts her untimely figs. Untimely fig means; an unripe (because out of season) fig:--untimely fig. [11] The Serpents are directly connected to the pale horse. What about the Scorpions?
The sun is representative of the Scorpions. [12] There is a verse that states that the sun (Scorpions) shall be ashamed.
Then the moon shall be confounded, and the sun ashamed, when the LORD of hosts shall reign in mount Zion, and in Jerusalem, and before his ancients gloriously. - Isaiah 24:23
The word ashamed used in the above verse has as one of its definitions; properly, to pale. [13]
The sun/Scorpions shall be pale; as part of the union of the pale horse. There is also a stronger connection pertaining to another definition in the word pale. The other connection is in the words dun-colored. When we look at the definition in the dictionary we find that dun-colored means; chestnut brown. [14] The color of chestnut is a reddish brown pertaining to the color of a horse. A chestnut brown horse would be referred to as a reddish brown horse. [15]
This color has a direct connection to a chariot of horses in Zechariah 6 which we will cover later.
This pale horse is representative of the union of the Scorpions and the Serpents. They ride together on this journey. “And power was given unto them over the fourth part of the earth, to kill with sword, and with hunger, and with death, and with the beasts of the earth.”
One fourth of the earth is killed by these two groups. In our old way of thinking, when we read this verse, we would surmise that this verse is speaking about the entire earth and all of its population. However, Judgement begins at the house of God. [16] The earth that is being referenced here is the church. It is the kingdom of heaven (The church) that the Lord is dealing with during the Tribulation.
These two groups (Death and Hell) devour the Multitude, not the 1/4 part of the entire earth. Again the earth is referring to the church. They are given power to kill 1/4 of the church. The church is divided into thirds in Ezekiel, chapter 5. Babylon is divided into thirds in Revelation 16:9. How does 1/4 come into play?
We have one more component to add to the church. They are actually included in Ezekiel’s hair division prior to him weighing out the hair. Ezekiel is told to take a few hairs and bind them in his skirt. This is the 144,000. When we add the 144,000 to the Multitude and the Scorpions and Serpents, you have 4 parts. If the Scorpions and Serpents are given power over 1/4 part of the earth (Church) of which they are 2/4 of that church, that leaves 2/4. They do not have power over the 144,000. That leaves 1/4, the Multitude.
We can find clarification of this concept in what is stated in the following passage.
All flesh is not the same flesh: but there is one kind of flesh of men, another flesh of beasts, another of fishes, and another of birds. [40] There are also celestial bodies, and bodies terrestrial: but the glory of the celestial is one, and the glory of the terrestrial is another. – 1 Corinthians 15:39, 40
In these verses we are told that there are four different kinds of flesh. There is one flesh of men, one flesh of beasts, one flesh of fishes, and one flesh of birds. Based upon previous identifications, [xvii] the beasts represent the Serpents, the fishes represent the Multitude, and the birds represent the Scorpions. That leaves the men which by the process of deduction; would represent the 144,000. These are used as figurative metaphors that identify spiritual groups of people within the construct of spiritual Israel.
In verse 40 we are told that there are celestial as well as terrestrial bodies. This is being stated in reference to the previous aforementioned men, beasts, fishes, and birds. What does this mean? It means that you can apply each of these to the celestial or to the terrestrial. The celestial would be referring to the spiritual group whereas the terrestrial would be referring to the physical group. There are physical men walking the earth, there are beasts (Lions, cattle, bears, etc.) walking the earth, there are fishes (Fish, sharks, etc.) swimming the seas, and there are birds of all kinds that fly this earth. [17]
In the celestial plane there are men walking the earth that represent the 144,000. They are spiritual men and women of the Lord, the true servants of God. There are spiritual beasts (Lions, bears) that are the Serpents. There are spiritual fishes that are the Multitude that are gathered in the nets and are killed. [18] There are spiritual birds, (Owls, cormorant, etc.) which represents the Scorpions. When you walk into a modern day church, gathered within that church are celestial (Spiritual) beasts, fishes, and birds.
Getting back to the 1/4 of men that are killed; there are originally 4 groups of the church. Therefore the church can have a division of quarters. When the 144,000 are sealed, they are no longer a part of the church. What is left are the Serpents, the Scorpions, and the Multitude which then can be divided by thirds. The 1/4 of men killed is referring to the Multitude that is killed by the pale horse who has been given the power to do just that.
In the 5th trumpet, the Scorpions are given power to hurt the Multitude. In the 6th trumpet, the Serpents kill 1/3 of men, the Multitude. How are the 1/3 and 1/4 of men (The Multitude) killed? They are killed by the sword, hunger, death, and the beasts of the earth. Let’s take a closer look at each of these.
Being killed with the sword is a given. The Lord draws a sword after the Multitude. The red horse (Serpents) has a sword and peace is taken from the earth. (Church) Does this mean that they are killed by a literal sword? No, it does not. The sword signifies death by execution at the hands of the Serpents. It is a metaphor. In other places in scripture the Multitude is killed by axes, arrows, a flood, lions, etc. The sword signifies their brutal death.
Being killed by hunger is a bit more complex. There are several possibilities. The first of course is famine. However the Multitude dies after being brought into captivity. They are faithful unto the death and this signifies a death at the hands of someone else. Not dying by famine. We do find a hint of this in the definitions, and other verses that we are led to by the definition.
Hunger means; (through the idea of destitution); a scarcity of food:--dearth, famine, hunger. [19] The under-definition means; to leave, i.e. (intransitively or passively) to fail or be absent:--be destitute (wanting), lack. [20]
We get a hint of death in the under-definition of; to leave, i.e. (intransitively or passively) to fail or be absent. The Multitude does leave, they leave this life, they are absent from this present world. We also have another clue in the word dearth.
The word of the LORD that came to Jeremiah concerning the dearth. – Jeremiah 14:1
This verse is located 13 verses before the verses quoted in the red horse section. That passage speaks about the slain in the field and those that are in the city being sick with famine. The word dearth in Jeremiah 14:1 means; restraint (of rain), i.e. drought:--dearth, drought. [21] The sub-definition for dearth is; to clip off, to gather grapes; also to be isolated. [22]
Knowing what we know about the Multitude, they do not die of famine. They may and most assuredly will suffer famine. We know that at this point the mark of the beast will be marking those that are his and no man may buy or sell unless he receives the mark, which the Multitude does not receive the mark. They are probably on the run with nowhere to go. Many of the Multitude will be stubborn towards the Lord and will be chastised more severely than others.
In the definition of the word dearth we see that it has the word drought in reference to rain. This would be the spiritual rain that would come down upon the Multitude when they come to the truth. But for those that are stubborn and resistant, no rain will be given until they succumb to the Lord and His will. It is the famine (Lack of things normal) that will drive the Multitude to their knees. They will eventually be caught, for all go to prison, and all die by the sword.
The sub-definition for the word dearth means; to clip off. This would be the violent gathering of the Multitude. Also the phrase to be isolated signifies prison. In either case they will be caught and murdered. As one of the Multitude; their end is already written, no matter how much they fight against it. It takes 3 ½ years for the last of them to be caught and killed. There’s a lot that can happen in that time.
Famine can also be hinting at all of their possessions being removed from them including their capability of making a living. They are not necessarily destitute of food, but can be destitute of all of their possessions and wealth. They die without their worldly possessions and thereby die of famine signifying that they own nothing and have nothing.
The next way that they die is by death. That is self-explanatory. The last way that they die is by the beasts of the earth. This is directly related to the Serpents as the beasts of the field that winter upon them. [23] The beasts (Serpents) kill them.
The pale horse is the union between the Serpents and the Scorpions. They kill 1/4 of the church, the Multitude by the power that was given to them. They are the unrighteous vessels the Lord uses to exact his chastisement upon the Multitude. This now will lead us to the 5th seal.
If we go back to the trumpet judgements, there are the four winds that are the judgements that are set against the church. They are grouped together as the four winds. The first four seals are grouped together as the four horsemen; representing the Multitude, (Their death and victory) the Serpents, red with the blood of the Multitude, the Scorpions that sell out the Multitude, and the union between the Serpents and the Scorpions as the two parts of the pale horse, Death and Hell.
The 5th seal is a turning point, just as the 5th trumpet is a turning point. The 5th trumpet begins the hurting of the Multitude that will lead to their death as a martyr. The 5th seal is speaking about the martyrs under the altar that are told to wait until their fellowservants and brethern are murdered just as they were.

What we can glean from this definition gives us the identification of the Serpents. The Serpents do gush over the Multitude.
