Chapter 17
The Spots of the Leopard
fter this I beheld, and lo another, like a leopard, which had upon the back of it four wings of a fowl; the beast had also four heads; and dominion was given to it. - Daniel 7:6
This is the third beast that rises up out of the sea. This one is like a leopard that has four wings of a fowl and four heads. It is also given power. Since the first beast, the lion was shown to transform into the Multitude and the second beast, the bear was shown to be the Serpents, there is only one left that this leopard can be; the Scorpions. Let’s take a look at this leopard and see if the clues will show us that this is the proper identification.
The definition for the word leopard means; leopard. [1] The next definition means; to filtrate, i.e. be limpid, and thus to spot or stain as if by dripping; a leopard (from its stripes):--leopard. [2] One of the under-definitions means; clear water. [3] Another under-definition means; house of (the) leopard. [4]
These definitions are interesting. These tell us that there is some type of a filtration process that is occurring. One of the under-definitions tells us that there is clear water and that there is a “house of (the) leopard.” This would not be the house of the Lord, but of the leopard. They have their own house apart from the Lord.
The filtration process that is indicated within these definitions takes us back to the chapter of the “Four Chariots of Horses” and how the Scorpions run to and fro the earth seeking those that are perfect in their hearts towards Him. How is this done? This occurs through the filtration process of winnowing the chaff from the wheat upon the threshing floor of the Tribulation.
In the main definition for the word leopard even though there is a filtration process that goes on, there is also a spotting or staining that occurs. The spots and stains come upon the Scorpions as the leopard runs to and fro upon the Multitude. Through the process of filtering the Multitude, they themselves are spotted and stained.
And shall receive the reward of unrighteousness, as they that count it pleasure to riot in the day time. Spots they are and blemishes, sporting themselves with their own deceivings while they feast with you; [14] Having eyes full of adultery, and that cannot cease from sin; beguiling unstable souls: an heart they have exercised with covetous practices; cursed children: - 2 Peter 2:13, 14
The ones that are spots and blemishes have eyes full of adultery. They are sinning and their hearts are trained in covetous practices. The group that covets is the Scorpions. They desire the possessions of the Multitude, and they receive their rewards of unrighteousness.
They are “cursed children” not entitled to the promises of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob. Let’s take a closer look at this word covetous. Covetous means; avarice, i.e. (by implication) fraudulency, extortion:--covetous(-ness) practices, greediness. [5] The under-definition means; holding (desiring) more, i.e. eager for gain (avaricious, hence a defrauder):--covetous. [6]
From these definitions we can find that the Scorpions commit fraud and extortion. These threads will take you to many verses with these words and will expose more scriptures that will be attributable to the Scorpions. Let’s follow this thread by looking up the word defraud. You can also look up the words fraud and defrauded, but we will focus on the word defraud.
When a reverse word search is done on the word defraud, there are many verses that appear. To do a reverse word search, you take a word, in this case the word defraud, and do a search on the number in the Strong’s Concordance. When you do a number search, in this case Strong’s 6231 for the word defraud, a number of verses come up that uses other words within that definition in the verses. The word oppress is the same number, Strong’s 6231 used for defraud in other verses.
He is a merchant, the balances of deceit are in his hand: he loveth to oppress. - Hosea 12:7
The ones that are spots and blemishes hold covetous practices and hence are defrauders who oppress. The also hold the balances of deceit in their hands. Who have we looked at previously who holds balance in their hand? The rider of the black horse has the balances in his hand and has been shown to be the Scorpions. They are the extortioners and defrauders.
The identifications of these groups and the definitions that fall in their respective categories are consistent. Let’s look at some verses with the word extortion within them.
In thee have they taken gifts to shed blood; thou hast taken usury and increase, and thou hast greedily gained of thy neighbours by extortion, and hast forgotten me, saith the Lord GOD. - Ezekiel 22:12
The ones spoken about in this verse are the ones that have greedily (Covetously) gained by their neighbors. The neighbors would be an identification of the Multitude for they are the ones that are extorted. The extortioners have taken gifts or rewards for shedding blood. Whose blood do they shed? They shed the blood of the Multitude by turning them in for their 30 pieces of silver and thereby initiates the process of the Multitude on their path to their execution. The Scorpions are just as guilty of the death of the Multitude as the Serpents.
Looking up the word extortion in the New Testament brings us to this verse.
Woe unto you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! for ye make clean the outside of the cup and of the platter, but within they are full of extortion and excess. - Matthew 23:25
The definition for this word extortion is; pillage (properly abstract):--extortion, ravening, spoiling. [7] The Scorpions pillage, raven, and spoil the Multitude. They also are the ravening wolves. The wolves have been previously identified with the Scorpions.
Beware of false prophets, which come to you in sheep's clothing, but inwardly they are ravening wolves. - Matthew 7:15
In Matthew 23:25, Jesus is speaking to the scribes and the Pharisees, telling them that they clean the outside of the cup and platter, but inside, the cup and platter are full of extortion and excess. Notice that Jesus is describing the inside of the cup and platter in the third person, not directly speaking as if the cup and the platter were referencing them.
The word extortion is used to describe the inside of the cup which is giving us another clue that the word cup used in this context would be referring to the Scorpions. If this is the case, then the word excess is being used to describe the inside of the platter. Since the Scorpions and the Serpents show up as paired together, we are given the indication that the platter that is filled with excess would be referring to the Serpents. Let’s look at that definition.
The word excess means; want of self-restraint:--excess, incontinency. [8] The word incontinency means; to be immediate, without delay, lacking restraint. [9]
This definition of excess tells us that this word refers to not being able to hold back and being immediate. Following the patterns already established, this word would have to be applicable to the Serpents. In the chapter of “The Bear” we found the linkage to those that make haste. The Serpents make haste for they are in a hurry to do their dirty deeds. The definition for haste parallels the word incontinency.
Let’s compare this verse to another verse that Jesus stated in the gospel of Luke. We will find a parallel verse with different adjectives used for the cup and platter.
And the Lord said unto him, Now do ye Pharisees make clean the outside of the cup and the platter; but your inward part is full of ravening and wickedness. - Luke 11:39
Here the inside of the cup is likened to ravening and the platter is likened to wickedness. Jesus now tells the Pharisees that these are describing “their” inward parts. It is no longer in the third person but directed at the Pharisees.
The word ravening is the same word as the word extortion in the previous verse. The word, wickedness is replacing the previous word excess. Let’s look at this definition for the word wickedness.
The word wickedness means; depravity, i.e. (specially), malice; plural (concretely) plots, sins:--iniquity, wickedness. [10]
The Scorpions and the Serpents would both qualify for this definition, yet this definition is more inclined towards the Serpents. Notice that the word plots is one of the definitions. A couple of definitions for plot is; a secret, usually evil, project or scheme; conspiracy or to make secret plans for: as, to plot someone’s destruction. [11]
That is exactly what the Pharisees did to Jesus. They maliciously plotted with Judas to take destroy Jesus.
After two days was the feast of the passover, and of unleavened bread: and the chief priests and the scribes sought how they might take him by craft, and put him to death. - Mark 14:1
This verse would certainly qualify as a plot. Let’s take a look at the word sought to find if there is a connection to what is being examined. The word sought means; to seek (literally or figuratively); or (in a bad sense) to plot (against life). [12]
The chief priests and scribes did exactly that, they plotted against Jesus’ life and succeeded, or so they thought. A plot can also be considered a conspiracy. The definition for conspiracy is; a planning and acting together secretly, especially for an unlawful or harmful purpose, such as murder or treason; the plan agreed on; plot. [13]
Did the chief priests and the scribes conspire with Judas on how to take Jesus? Yes, they did. Let’s take a look at one more passage that will bring this thread full circle.
There is a conspiracy of her prophets in the midst thereof, like a roaring lion ravening the prey; they have devoured souls; they have taken the treasure and precious things; they have made her many widows in the midst thereof. [26] Her priests have violated my law, and have profaned mine holy things: they have put no difference between the holy and profane, neither have they shewed difference between the unclean and the clean, and have hid their eyes from my sabbaths, and I am profaned among them. [27] Her princes in the midst thereof are like wolves ravening the prey, to shed blood, and to destroy souls, to get dishonest gain. – Ezekiel 22:25-27
The roaring lions are both the Serpents and the Scorpions. The Serpents devour souls upon their platters that are clean on the outside, but full of excess and wickedness on the inside. The Scorpions are the cup that is clean on the outside but is full of extortion and ravening wolves on the inside. They destroy souls for their dishonest gain, exercising covetous practices. These are the leopards that are the spots and blemishes that conspire with the Serpents for their rewards.
Their feet run to evil, and they make haste to shed innocent blood: their thoughts are thoughts of iniquity; wasting and destruction are in their paths. - Isaiah 59:7
These are spots in your feasts of charity, when they feast with you, feeding themselves without fear: clouds they are without water, carried about of winds; trees whose fruit withereth, without fruit, twice dead, plucked up by the roots; - Jude 1:12
Let’s now take a look at the four wings of a fowl. A fowl is of course referring to a bird. In a previous work, [14] it has been established that the fowls of the heavens are the Scorpions of the 5th trumpet. They are the birds that devour the flesh of the Multitude. Let’s take a look at a bird that is spoken about in Jeremiah; a speckled bird.
I have forsaken mine house, I have left mine heritage; I have given the dearly beloved of my soul into the hand of her enemies. 8 Mine heritage is unto me as a lion in the forest; it crieth out against me: therefore have I hated it. 9 Mine heritage is unto me as a speckled bird, the birds round about are against her (Scorpions); come ye, assemble all the beasts of the field (Serpents), come to devour.
[10] Many pastors have destroyed my vineyard, they have trodden my portion (Remnant - Multitude) under foot, they have made my pleasant portion a desolate wilderness. [11] They have made it desolate, (Because of the abomination that maketh desolate) and being desolate it mourneth unto me; the whole land is made desolate, because no man layeth it to heart. [12] The spoilers (Scorpions) are come upon all high places through the wilderness: for the sword of the LORD shall devour from the one end of the land even to the other end of the land: no flesh shall have peace.
[13] They have sown wheat, (Multitude) but shall reap thorns: (Serpents) they have put themselves to pain, but shall not profit: (Scorpions) and they shall be ashamed of your revenues because of the fierce anger of the LORD. [14] Thus saith the LORD against all mine evil neighbours, that touch the inheritance which I have caused my people Israel to inherit; Behold, I will pluck them out of their land, and pluck out the house of Judah from among them. - Jeremiah 12:7-14
This is a very informative passage that gives us many clues. In verse 7, the Lord gives up His house and leaves it. Jesus has left the church for He no longer is welcome there. The church is full of liars, thieves, and obstinate people that are stiff necked. He also delivers His beloved into the enemy’s hands. Why does He do this? The Lord’s house has been corrupted and is full of idols. He must abandon this house of Babylon, for He is pure and clean and His house that is called by His name is impure and dirty. His beloved is the Multitude that He delivers into the Scorpion’s and Serpent’s hands.
His heritage is to the Lord as a lion in the forest. This would be the lion that devours the Multitude. This is the lion that is representative of the. His heritage is also as a speckled bird (Scorpions) of which the birds are surrounding her. (Multitude) The birds and the beasts of the field will devour the Multitude. They will trodden her down underfoot and make it desolate by killing every living soul that is the Lord’s beloved.
In verse 12 we see the spoilers (Scorpions) and the sword. (Serpents) The Multitude will reap thorns (Serpents) and pain. (Scorpions with their sting causes pain) Take a close look at verse 14. The Lord states that there are evil neighbors that touch the inheritance of Israel. These evil neighbors are the Serpents and the Scorpions that touch (Take into captivity and murder) the inheritance of Israel. (Multitude) Look at what the Lord does to these evil neighbors. “Behold, I will pluck them out of their land, and pluck out the house of Judah from among them.” - Jeremiah 12:14
The Serpents and the Scorpions are plucked up out of their land and the “house of Judah” will be plucked out from among the Serpents and the Scorpions. The Multitude is taken into captivity by the Scorpions and the Serpents are gathered around their dead bodies. Their dead bodies shall rise at the 7th trumpet and is plucked or gathered from the four winds that come upon them. The house of Judah is an identification of the Multitude.
This can also be lined up with the plucking of the eagle’s wings from off of the first beast of Daniel, the lion. The Lord plucks off the wings and then the lion is lifted up from the earth (Dead in Christ rise) and the Multitude is of the tribe of Judah for Jesus Christ is the lion of the tribe of Judah. When the Multitude accepts Jesus Christ, they put on Christ and are now of the Tribe of Judah.
Let’s go back to the speckled bird that the heritage of the Lord has been turned into.
First, let’s look at the definition for the word speckle in the dictionary. It means; a small mark of contrasting color, a speck, to mark with speckles. [15] The definition for the word speck means; a small spot or mark, or stain. [16] Weren’t we just looking at those verses pertaining to spots and blemishes that we were led to through the definition of the leopard? The definition of the leopard had the words spot and stain within it.
The definition in the Strong’s for this word speckled is; dyed (in stripes), i.e. the hyena:--speckled. [17]
This definition matches the definition for the word leopard that we looked at previously. The definition for leopard also mentioned stripes. Within this definition we have an additional identification for the Scorpions, the hyena. A hyena is defined as; a sow, hence, from its hog like mane, hyena, any of a group of wolf like, flesh-eating animals of Africa and Asia, with a bristly mane, short hind legs, and a characteristic shrill cry: hyenas feed on carrion and are considered cowardly. [18]
The definition for hyena has many interesting clues. They are likened to pigs or hogs. Does the phrase “don’t cast your pearls before swine” sound familiar? They are also considered “wolf like” which has already been identified previously as the Scorpions. They are also considered cowards just as Judas was a coward. It runs in the family; the family of the Scorpions. The hyena also has a shrill cry. This characteristic of the hyena will make a connection with another aspect of the Scorpions that we have previously discovered, but there wasn’t anything to connect it to at that time.
Let’s take a look at a verse that we have previously studied that has the word speckled describing the color of a horse in Zechariah, chapter 1.
I saw by night, and behold a man riding upon a red horse, and he stood among the myrtle trees that were in the bottom; and behind him were there red horses, speckled, and white. - Zechariah 1:8
These speckled horses were previously identified as the Scorpions.
Let’s take another look at the definitions, for we will find an amazing connection to the leopard. The word speckled is; bright red (as piercing to the sight), i.e. bay:--speckled. [19] Its under-definition means; a primitive root; properly, to be shrill, i.e. to whistle or hiss (as a call or in scorn):--hiss. [20]
Do you see that? In the under-definition for the word speckled, is the characteristic to be shrill which connects to the hyena that has a shrill cry. Let’s recap on this connection.
We were looking at the four wings of a fowl and we know from the previous identifications of the Scorpions that they are the “fowls of the heavens.” We looked up a reference to a speckled bird. The dictionary’s definition for the word speckle linked us back to the definition for the word leopard and the spots and stains that are upon this leopard.
When we looked up the definition in the Strong’s for the word speckled, it gave us a as one of the definitions, hyena which has the shrill cry. Following the word speckled led us back to a previous passage of the speckled horse in Zechariah, chapter 1. In one of the under-definitions we find a linkage to the shrill cry. All of these identifications are linked to the Scorpions which is the main beast of Daniel that we are exploring.
This is what is called an algorithm. When you follow a thread through definitions and passages, they will link back and form a loop back to the original starting point proving that the identification is correct. What I find so amazing is that this occurs not within just the Bible, but flows through the Strong’s Concordance and even into the dictionary, the encyclopedia, and the identifications remain consistent. The Lord truly preserves His Word. All the way through languages and dictionaries.
Let’s look at another aspect of the four wings of a fowl. Why are there four wings? This must have some type of relevance. These four wings of a fowl are somehow associated with these Scorpions. The Scorpions are also locusts. They are the locusts with the sting of a scorpion as stated in the 5th trumpet.
When we take a closer look at what a locust characteristics’ are, we will find our answer to why this leopard has four wings.
“Some kinds of male locusts make loud calls to the females by rubbing their hind legs against parts of their wings. Some make a loud clackling sound when they fly by striking the front and hind wings together.” [21]
A locust has a set of front wings and a set of hind wings which gives them a total of four wings. That is a very convincing connection to the locusts who are the Scorpions. What about the four heads?
After this I beheld, and lo another, like a leopard, which had upon the back of it four wings of a fowl; the beast had also four heads; and dominion was given to it. - Daniel 7:6
In Joel, chapter 1, there is a verse that has been previously identified with the Scorpions. It is a four fold listing of different types of worms and a locust. Remember when we were looking at the moth and the identification of the bear? The verse quoted identified the moth as the Arcturus, the Serpent and the other metaphor was a worm. The worm is a metaphor of the Scorpions.
For the moth shall eat them up like a garment, and the worm shall eat them like wool: but my righteousness shall be for ever, and my salvation from generation to generation. - Isaiah 51:8
The definition for the word worm means; a moth (from the agility of the fly):-- moth. [22] The under-definition means; to skip (properly, for joy); a horse (as leaping); also a swallow (from its rapid flight):--crane, horse((-back, -hoof)). [23]
The next definition means; a steed (as stretched out to a vehicle, not single nor for mounting; also (by implication) a driver (in a chariot), i.e. (collectively) cavalry:--horseman. [24] And the final definition means; to separate, literally (to disperse) or figuratively (to specify); also (by implication) to wound:-- scatter, sting. [25]
These definitions are very revealing. The first definition states that a worm is a moth, yet the moth was identified with the Serpents. How does this fit? A worm will go through metamorphosis and will change into a moth or a butterfly. The Scorpions have a close association with the moth for they are inducted into the union with the moths. (Serpents) The thing to notice in this definition is that the definition points you to the agility of the fly. This points you to flight. Which of the groups is closely associated with flight? The “birds of the heavens” are agile and move deftly.
When we continue through the definitions we will find the direct links to the Scorpions. The next definition tells us that this worm is; a steed or a driver in a chariot. Didn’t we see this in a previous verse?
And he saw a chariot with a couple of horsemen, a chariot of asses, and a chariot of camels; and he hearkened diligently with much heed: - Isaiah 21:7
This verse is describing what the watchman that is appointed by Isaiah sees. The first chariot is the first woe of Revelation, the 5th trumpet. This chariot of horsemen is an identification of the Scorpions. The Scorpions of the 5th trumpet are also “like unto horses prepared for battle.” [26] The under-definition for the horsemen in Isaiah 21:7 is the same under-definition used for worm. This is another algorithm.
The next definition tells means to separate. They do separate the Multitude. They also disperse the Multitude. They also wound the Multitude, scatter them, and the most obvious, they sting the Multitude with the sting of the Scorpion.
And they had tails like unto scorpions, and there were stings in their tails: and their power was to hurt men five months. – Revelation 9:10
There are too many clues in this passage. The worm is a definitive metaphoric identification of the Scorpions. There are actually four groups of worms or locusts that are connected to this leopard with the four heads.
That which the palmerworm hath left hath the locust eaten; and that which the locust hath left hath the cankerworm eaten; and that which the cankerworm hath left hath the caterpiller eaten. - Joel 1:4
Within each of these groups for these for worms or locust, you will find within each definition, the word locust. The palmerworm is defined as; meaning to devour; a kind of locust:--palmer-worm. [27]
The locust is defined as; a locust (from its rapid increase): grasshopper, locust. [28] The cankerworm is defined as; meaning to lick up; a devourer; specifically, the young locust:--cankerworm, caterpillar. [29] And finally, the caterpillar is defined as; the ravager, i.e. a locust:--caterpillar. [30]
These are the four heads of the leopard. This is representative of the Scorpions. Perhaps there will be four separate groups under one leader that is the final formation of the Scorpions.
This is the network that will spy out the Multitude and turn them in. The Multitude will be stripped of all of their possessions by the locusts (Scorpions) that will devour their belongings.
If one of the locusts or worms leaves something, the next one in line, eats it up, until they have gone through all four stages when there will be nothing left. Look at the last definition for the locust. The locust is defined as a ravager. Does ravening wolves come to mind? What about the cup that is full of ravening? More connections are becoming apparent.
This leopard is given dominion.
After this I beheld, and lo another, like a leopard, which had upon the back of it four wings of a fowl; the beast had also four heads; and dominion was given to it. - Daniel 7:6
Let’s explore this concept of the dominion that was given to this leopard. The word dominion is defined as; empire (abstractly or concretely):--dominion. [31] The under-definition means; have the mastery, have power, bear rule, be (make) ruler. [32]
This word dominion is an empire and they have mastery, rule or power to do as they wish. The Scorpions of the 5th trumpet have power. They are given the power by the False Prophet and the Serpents to act as agents for their regime to bring in the Multitude. Their 30 pieces of silver that they receive is the possessions of the Multitude. This will play out under the replay of the Judas Cycle. [33]
And there came out of the smoke locusts upon the earth: and unto them was given power, as the Scorpions of the earth have power. - Revelation 9:3
The third beast of Daniel, the leopard, is the Scorpions. The identifications are consistent and the threads and definitions are amazing and accurate. This third beast also is consistent with the 3rd seal of Revelation, the black horse. These beasts of Daniel run parallel with the 4 horsemen of the Apocalypse.
There are more verses to look at in regards to the leopard.
Wherefore a lion out of the forest shall slay them, and a wolf of the evenings shall spoil them, a leopard shall watch over their cities: every one that goeth out thence shall be torn in pieces: because their transgressions are many, and their backslidings are increased. - Jeremiah 5:6
Within this verse there are 3 metaphoric identifications; the lion, the wolf, and the leopard. The lion has previously been identified as the Serpents, yet it can also be the Scorpions. It could be speaking about either the Serpents or the Scorpions or both. The wolf has been previously identified as the Scorpions and the leopard of course, is the Scorpions.
Notice how this verse states that the leopard will watch over their cities. The Scorpions are the group that runs to and fro looking for the Multitude. They are the ones that seek out as a spy and watch for the Multitude. This verse displays this characteristics of the Scorpions quite efficiently.
Therefore I will be unto them as a lion: as a leopard by the way will I observe them: - Hosea 13:7
This verse states the same characteristic of the Scorpions. They will observe or be on the lookout for the Multitude as the eyes of the Lord that run to and from seeking out those, whose hearts are perfect towards Him.
Come with me from Lebanon, my spouse, with me from Lebanon: look from the top of Amana, from the top of Shenir and Hermon, from the lions' dens, from the mountains of the leopards. - Song 4:8
This is an invitation from the Lord to the Multitude. The Lord coaxes them to come with Him. He names them as His spouse for they are part of the Bride of Christ. Notice where they are coming from; the lion’s dens and the mountains of the leopards. This verse only gives us two locations; the lion’s den and the mountains of the leopards, so this would be referring to the Serpent’s den of lions and the mountains of the Scorpions. This is where the Multitude is when the Lord beckons to them.
Remember when we were looking at the 6th seal when the Multitude was in the dens and the rocks of the mountains? The Multitude is in these dens of lions and the rocks of the mountains of the leopards. They have mingled themselves with the Serpents and the Scorpions in their refuge of lies until they wake up to the Truth and they then find themselves trapped within these lion’s (Serpent’s) dens and leopard’s (Scorpion’s) mountains.
Once there is a proven identification, the thread becomes established and the scriptures are consistent with the identification.
The leopard is a proper identification of the Scorpions. These identifications are staying consistent with the four horseman of the Apocalypse.
This 4th beast of Daniel is terrible and dreadful. If these beasts in Daniel are running parallel to the 4 horsemen of the 4 seals, then the identification of this 4th beast will be the combination of the Serpents and the Scorpions as seen in the 4th horseman. We will investigate this premise and see if it be so.

[33]. “The Trumpet Judgements Unveiled” chapter 1
