The Trumpet Judgements Unveiled
Chapter 3
The First Trumpet
And the seven angels which had the seven trumpets prepared themselves to sound. [7] The first angel sounded, and there followed hail and fire mingled with blood, and they were cast upon the earth: and the third part of trees was burnt up, and all green grass was burnt up. - Revelation 8:6, 7
Looking through natural eyes, you see physical events. Hail and fire could only be a meteor storm coming down on 1/3rd of the trees and all of the green grass. But there is a problem. Hail consists of pieces of ice. How does ice burn up trees and grass? It doesn’t. Hail pummels trees and grass, smashes them, rips on them, but it doesn’t burn them. Fire would do that. And then you have the hail and fire mingled with blood. What’s could this be in the natural? This doesn’t make sense.
Let’s look at this through spiritual eyes and we will see how this manifests in the physical.
Hail and fire is mingled with blood. A third part of the trees is burnt up and all of the green grass is burnt up. Each one of these items just listed is a metaphor; they all represent for something else. Hail and fire mingled with blood are a total of three items. If each of these items are metaphors and represent something else, could this be the three-fold division of the Church? Yes, it is.
The hail is the Serpents, the fire is the Scorpions, and the mingled with blood is representative of the blood of the Multitude. The blood is mingled between the Scorpions and Serpents. This signifies the alliance between the Serpents and the Scorpions which shows up right in the beginning of the trumpets.
Let’s take a look at establishing the connections with the hail and fire to the Scorpions and the Serpents. Let’s begin by looking at a very interesting verse located in Psalms.
Fire, and hail; snow, and vapour; stormy wind fulfilling his word: - Psalm 148:8
In this one verse we have five items listed. The combination of these five items somehow fulfills God’s word. Let’s assume at this juncture that the fire and hail is the 2/3rds of the apostate. We’ll establish this later. If the 2/3rds of the apostate are in this verse, then the Multitude must also be in this verse to be consistent.
The next word snow means of course snow, but its root word definition means; be white, to be snow-white (With the linen clothing of the slain). [1]
After this I beheld, and, lo, a great multitude, which no man could number, of all nations, and kindreds, and people, and tongues, stood before the throne, and before the Lamb, clothed with white robes...- Revelation 7:9
...These are they which came out of great tribulation, and have washed their robes, and made them white in the blood of the Lamb. - Revelation 7:14
The Multitude certainly fits the word snow. Let’s look at the word vapour.
The definition for vapour is the same definition used for the word smoke. Smoke is representative of anger and jealousy. [2] It is the wrath and jealousy of the Lord and by extension the anger and the hatred of the ones that kill the Multitude.
The image of jealousy in Ezekiel 8:3 is the Abomination of Desolation. “...and brought me in the visions of God to Jerusalem, the door of the inner gate that looketh toward the north; where was the seat of the image of jealousy, which provoketh to jealousy.”
The north is representative of the Serpents, the ones that give away their birthright. This image of jealousy provokes the Lord to jealousy; this is the smoke. (Vapour) As you can see by this next verse, when the Lord is provoked to jealousy, His anger and wrath is poured out.
The LORD will not spare him, but then the anger of the LORD and his jealousy shall smoke against that man... - Deuteronomy 29:20
Lastly, the words stormy wind will finish this. It is the same word used for whirlwind. [3]
Ponder this verse for a moment. In five items, the Lord has the Serpents, (Hail) the Scorpions, (Fire) the Multitude, (Snow) His Wrath, (Vapour) and the Tribulation. (Stormy wind) These five items fulfill God’s Word. The Word of God is so rich!
Isaiah 32 is an outlay of the groups of apostate and the Multitude. In particular, verse 19 reads “When it shall hail, coming down on the forest; and the city shall be low in a low place.”
The hail comes down on the forest, but why not the fire? When you know what the hail is, you know that the fire is coupled with the hail. Remember the alliance between the two. The forest is a metaphor for a mass of people which is comprised of the trees, which is a metaphor for individual people.
“And the city shall be low, in a low place.” What city would that be? Babylon, Jerusalem.
Hail is defined as; small rounded pieces of ice that sometimes falls during thunderstorms. [4]
The first trumpet has hail and fire mingled with blood that is cast down to the earth. Hail is cold. Fire is hot, mixed with blood, the blood of the Multitude. The Serpents are from the north, where the cold wind comes from. Fire is hot. The south wind blows a hot wind. The Scorpions are associated with the south. Jesus made a statement about the south wind.
And when ye see the south wind blow, ye say, There will be heat; and it cometh to pass. - Luke 12:55
The connection of the Serpents to the hail will be further established in the 4th trumpet. The Serpents are the stars (Metaphor) and perished in the gainsaying of Core. [5] Core is defined as ice. [6]
The fire of “hail and fire” is defined as; fire and fiery. [7]
The connection linking the Scorpions to the first trumpet is found in this next verse.
For the sun is no sooner risen with a burning heat, but it withereth the grass...- James 1:11
The sun is a metaphor for the Scorpions. This will be further established in the 4th trumpet. The sun (Scorpions) rises (Receives power) with a burning heat (Fire) and it withers (Burns up) the grass.
Burning heat is defined as; fervent heat, the act of burning, to be burned, to set on fire, kindle, consume, or burn. [8]
The definitions for burning heat go hand in hand with the definitions for fire.
Earlier we looked at Isaiah 32:19 where it tells us that it will hail upon the forest. Here’s another verse concerning a forest.
But I will punish you according to the fruit of your doings, saith the LORD: and I will kindle a fire in the forest thereof, and it shall devour all things round about it. - Jeremiah 21:14
One of the definitions for burning heat was kindle.
We now have two verses, one with hail coming down on the forest, and one with kindling a fire in the forest. These two, the hail (Serpents) and the fire (Scorpions) both destroy the forest. They are separated groups, the Serpents and the Scorpions, which come together in an alliance against the Multitude, hence hail and fire.
...and the third part of trees was burnt up, and all green grass was burnt up. - Revelation 8:7
The words burnt up are defined as; to burn down, (to the ground) i.e. consume wholly:-burn, to set on fire, i.e. kindle. [9]
The burning up of the trees and the grass are again, metaphors. The trees are a metaphor for people. The 1/3rd designation is referring to the Multitude. The grass is the possessions owned by a person. The grass that is burnt up is referring to the Multitude’s possessions. The burning up of these two, the trees and the green grass (Their substance) are not literally burnt up with fire. They are devoured; devoured by the Scorpions (Their substance) and devoured by the Serpents. (Their lives)
And now also the axe is laid unto the root of the trees: therefore every tree which bringeth not forth good fruit is hewn down, and cast into the fire. - Matthew 3:10
Jesus states that every tree that doesn’t bring forth good fruit is cut down with and axe and thrown into the fire. Has the Multitude produced any good fruit prior to the Tribulation? No, they have not. The apostate produces evil fruit. Both groups are cut down. The Multitude is cut down by the apostate and the apostate is cut down by the Lord at the 7th trumpet.
Jeremiah 21:14 states the Lord “will kindle a fire in the forest.” The kindling of the fire “shall devour all things round about it.” If you look up the word devour, some of its definitions are; to burn up, consume, devour, eat, dine. [10]
All the green grass that is burnt up is described in James 1:11. When the sun (Scorpions) rises (Receives power) with a burning heat, (Power to devour) it withers the grass. (Substance of the Multitude) Let’s examine this more closely.
The word withereth means; to desiccate, to shrivel, dry up, pine away. [11] This is sub-defined as; (through the idea of scorching); arid, shrunken, dry land, pine away, withered.
The words pine away in this definition gives us the indication of withering and also when applied to people, it gives us the indication of famine. All of the Multitude’s goods and means of survival will be stripped away and they will be thrown into prison to await execution. I don’t think they will be eating very well during this process.
There is a quote from Jesus that corresponds with this definition. “For if they do these things in a green tree, what shall be done in the dry?” [12]
The word dry in this verse is the same definition used for the word withereth. The timing of when Jesus stated this is the important item to note. Jesus stated this when he was on His way to be crucified. They are killing the Son of God when He is amongst them. (Green tree) What will be done when Jesus is not amongst them? (Dry tree) They will kill a Great Multitude.
In determining what the green grass represents, we need to find out what the green grass is. We find that in the following verse, “people is grass.”
The grass withereth, the flower fadeth: because the spirit of the LORD bloweth upon it: surely the people is grass. - Isaiah 40:7
Looking at this concept, that people are grass, you can find a theme that runs through the Bible. The 144,000 are the barley, the Multitude is the wheat, and the wicked are the tares. All of the aforementioned can be considered grass. In fact a common nutritional health drink is called wheat grass. But there is only mention of green grass concerning the Multitude. Why?
The tares are dried up and withered. The 144,000 are mentioned in the 5th trumpet as grass and trees and green things. Actually, the grass is green for both the 144,000 and the Multitude. It is stated that the locusts with the scorpion tails are commanded not to hurt the grass, the trees, or any green thing, which would be the 144,000 and their possessions.
Since the Scorpions are commanded not to touch the 144,000 and their (The Scorpion’s and the Serpent’s) grass isn’t green, the only green grass left is the Multitude’s. The green grass also covers the possessions of the Multitude. It is actually the focus of the Scorpions that strip away all that the Multitude has. We can find clarification of this in the following verses.
If then God so clothe the grass, which is to day in the field, and to morrow is cast into the oven; how much more will he clothe you, O ye of little faith? - Luke 12:28
This verse speaks about God clothing the grass. All the references made of grass include the clothing of the grass. This would be not only literal clothes, but the substance or possessions of the grass (men). Notice that the grass spoken about in this verse is in the field and is then cast into the oven. Would that be the oven of the Tribulation? It sure sounds like it.
For all flesh is as grass, and all the glory of man as the flower of grass. The grass withereth, and the flower thereof falleth away: - 1 Peter 1:24
In this verse, again, all flesh is grass. Connected to the grass is the flower of the grass that falls away when the grass withers (Is burned up) by the rising sun in James 1:11.
But the rich, in that he is made low: because as the flower of the grass he shall pass away. - James 1:10
In this verse, the rich man is made low and shall pass away. There are riches connected to the flower of grass. When does this happen? When the sun (Scorpions) rises with a burning heat and the grass withers.
For the sun is no sooner risen with a burning heat, but it withereth the grass, and the flower thereof falleth, and the grace of the fashion of it perisheth: so also shall the rich man fade away in his ways. - James 1:11
This verse tells us that the grass that withers is likened to “so also shall the rich man fade away in his ways.” Who is the rich man? The definition for rich man includes; wealthy, abounding, rich. [13] The under-definition for rich man has the following definitions; wealth (as fullness), literally; money, possessions; or fig. abundance, riches. [14]
How does a rich man fade in his ways? His riches are taken away. If you look up the definition for fade away, you will find the definitions: extinguish, pass away. [15] This doesn’t mean that the entire Multitude is rich in our sense of the word rich. We think of someone that is rich to be very wealthy, the upper class. But this definition of rich can include possessions that they have accumulated during their lifetime. They have 401Ks, retirement pensions, houses, cars, boats, money, goods, possessions, etc.
Because thou sayest, I am rich, and increased with goods, and have need of nothing; and knowest not that thou art wretched, and miserable, and poor, and blind, and naked: - Revelation 3:17
This is describing the Multitude. This verse is located in the 7th church of Laodicea. All seven churches are the Multitude; the overcomers. [16]
They have put possessions (Idols) above the Lord; therefore, they are wretched, miserable, poor, blind, and naked. So the Lord strips away all of their goods so they can find the Lord again. But they pay a very heavy price for trusting in their riches and not the Lord.
Your gold and silver is cankered; and the rust of them shall be a witness against you, and shall eat your flesh as it were fire. Ye have heaped treasure together for the last days. - James 5:3
Those treasures will be burned up (Devoured) by the Scorpions of the 5th trumpet.
The green grass is a metaphor for possessions that a person owns. There is more clarification and understanding concerning this. At the first trumpet, all the green grass gets burned up. When we investigate the green grass a bit more, it becomes clear that it is only the green grass of the Multitude that gets burned up.
The phase green grass is only used twice in the entire Bible. Once in the 1st trumpet and the second occurrence is at the Mount of Olives when the multitude was fed of the five barley loaves and two fishes.
And he commanded them to make all sit down by companies upon the green grass. - Mark 6:39
And he commanded the multitude to sit down on the grass, and took the five loaves, and the two fishes, and looking up to heaven, he blessed, and brake, and gave the loaves to his disciples, and the disciples to the multitude. - Matthew 14:19
In the only other verse with the phrase green grass, a multitude sits down on the green grass. It is the green grass that the Multitude sits on that gets burned up. There is a frequent expression of ‘a person sitting on their goods or possessions’ that can be applied. The Multitude has their possessions (Green grass) that they sit on, taken away. Ultimately their lives are taken.
When you obtain the understanding of the three groups of Babylon, you will begin to see them all throughout the scripture, especially in the prophetic books, and in the New Testament.
You will begin to identify each group by what is being spoken about. Here’s a verse in Obadiah that is actually the Lord speaking to the Scorpions, probably at the Great White Throne Judgement.
Thou shouldest not have entered into the gate of my people in the day of their calamity; yea, thou shouldest not have looked on their affliction in the day of their calamity, nor have laid hands on their substance in the day of their calamity; - Obadiah. 1:13
You should “have not laid hands (Taken) on their (The Multitude’s) substance (Possessions) in the day of their calamity". (Tribulation) A couple of definitions for substance are; riches and wealth. [17]
...Hail and fire mingled with blood... - Revelation 8:7
As I stated before, the Scorpions and Serpents have the blood of the Multitude on their hands. The word mingled means; to mix or mingle. [18] There is a verse that uses this same word mingle.
There were present at that season some that told him of the Galilaeans, whose blood Pilate had mingled with their sacrifices. - Luke 13:1
Pilate killed these Galilaeans. He mingled the blood with the sacrifices. The word sacrifices means; the act or the victim. [19] It signifies death.
Mingled with blood is representative of the blood of the Multitude. Both the Scorpions and the Serpents have the Multitude’s blood on their hands. They are both responsible for the death of the Multitude.
When Jesus was being condemned to death, the Jews made a statement. “His blood be on us, and on our children.” [20] Remember, the Judas Cycle? The Multitude is in the position of Jesus in this cycle. The blood of the Multitude is upon the Scorpions and the Serpents. This is how the blood is mingled with the hail and the fire.
The first angel sounded, and there followed hail (Serpents) and fire (Scorpions) mingled with blood, (Of the Multitude) and they were cast upon the earth: and the third part of the trees (Multitude) was burnt up, (Devoured by the Serpents) and all green grass (The possessions of the Multitude) was burnt up. (Devoured by the Scorpions) - Revelation 8:7
This is how we see the first trumpet through spiritual eyes.
